Hi all- Huddersfield fan here.
Where to start with Collin, he was a big cult hero for us but hasn't played a great deal in the last 2 full seasons- had a hip injury that kept him out most of last season and our formation couldn't really accommodate him in the season before that. He's not particularly like any player I've ever seen, the closest I could get is Danny Welbeck in that they're both so ungainly and clumsy on the ball, but manage to confuse defenders enough for it to be effective.
Despite being 6 foot 3 he's not a target man at all, one of the worst headers of the ball I've seen, and while he puts himself about he's very gangly and not as strong as someone of his size should be. He can go from the sublime to ridiculous while on the ball, but his vision and use of space can be absolutely top class (although it was very overlooked by our fans). Actually topped our assists chart in our first season in the Premier League, and was surprisingly effective as a winger that year. If you play him up front though he can lead the line on his own fine as he's a very hard working player.  
I'd expect him to take a while to get up to speed, and I have some reservations about whether he'll ever reach the same standard as a few years ago- in his few appearances towards the end of last season he wasn't as mobile as before. But I can guarantee he'll give his all and will be a great person to have in the dressing room, everyone here adored him- fans and teammates alike.

My decision to vote no had f*ck all to do with anything LPM said. In fact, he might have convinced me to vote yes with some of his rabid outpourings. I simply wasn't happy about the deal, especially the veto. But the majority have spoken, so let's get on with it.

Feckin massive majority, that. I reckon Lord Pityme's incessant bleating helped to persuade a lot of folk to vote 'yes'.

Last full day of "campaigning" is the LPM helicopter ready to rush him to soapboxes in all 4 corners of Renfrewshire, maybe plackards outside the Kibble HQ ?

If the deal goes through Kibble are getting a degree of control over the club that they plan to use as a base for implementing some of their projects while offering the club economies on various fronts in return, the carrot for SMiSA members is getting control of the club for less money (Is 51% ownership sufficient?) and for GLS it's getting his outlay back 5 years earlier.
The key question is whether the part-time SMiSA board members will be able to effectively scrutinise the activities of a larger organisation who despite being minor partners (27.5% compared to SMiSAs 51%) will be on-site on a daily basis and whose representatives on Saints board may likewise have more time to spend at GHR and be better informed and better placed to steer the club.

There's a difference between disagreeing with someones opinion and blindly refusing to acknowledge their right to have one. This is my point, if you think it's just about disagreeing, you haven't understood.

The problem with LPM is that his reasonable points are wrapped up in a sea of unproven conspiracy theory mud slinging and posts full of incoherent screeching.
Someone else needs to calmly break down the risks here in a coherently stuctured and evidence-based manner because nobody is going to listen seriously to this absolute spangle.
