Getting 300K for him is most definitely a success.

https://forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/threads/ethan-erhahon-signs.129729/ Interesting read here. These boys really think they are getting a world-beater🙄

No issue with selling Erhahon. He had more bad games than good, so if we have managed to scoop 300K plus then it's great news. I was always hoping to play with a midfield 3 of Gogic, O'Hara and Baccus anyway.
-
If we only sign Small & Watt, I am absolutely fine with that. Reid barely played, so isn't a big loss. Erhahon was decent occasionally, but I reckon he had many more bad games than good. We will be at least 400K better off and have Gogic, Baccus, O'Hara, Flynn and Kiltie to choose from in midfield. Up front we can choose any two from Main, Grieve and Watt. Plus have some back up for Tanser.

I agree with this. I don't think a striker is what we need. I don't think we create enough clear cut chances. The way we set up is generally with 8 defensive-minded players (1GK, 3CB's, 2 FB's & 2DCM). It keeps us solid, but doesn't really inspire attacking play and lots of chances.

Agree!!! If SMISA don't gain from it, why not just give it a name most of the fans want?

St Mirren v Motherwell, 28/1/23

I have given up trying to keep track of what it's called. So many changes(St Mirren park, Paisley2021, Smisa, Simple digital) in 15 years. Why can't SMISA just call it St mirren park? Do they actually have the sponsorship rights of the stadium? DO they gain anything from having their name across the front door?

St Mirren v Hibernian SPFL Premiership 4/2/23

First match of the season for me and the boy. Will make a change from us shouting at the telly in Prague. Hopefully both teams can go into it with a bit of form, so we have a big crowd. St Mirren 2-1 Hibs Att: 7059 -
Green Vermin v St Mirren SPFL PREMIERSHIP 18/1/23 Wednesday

Not too bothered about tonight. Old firm away is a free hit as far as I am concerned. This period of 4 games of which 3 of them are away to Hearts, Celtic & Aberdeen was always going to be tough. However, we have an easier set of fixtures coming up, which should yield some points. I still feel that we are capable of finishing in a European spot, but we have to be careful. We are only 7pts above the play-off spot and could easily be looking over our shoulder should we blow it over the next few games. Regarding the current squad and potential movement in January. I really hope we keep hold of the majority. Of the players rumoured to be moving on, I would like Baccus, Brophy and big Joe to stay. If Ethan goes, I won't miss him. I personally have never been impressed. Here's hoping for a result at Pittodrie and at home to Well. The boy and I will eventually get to use our season tickets for the 1st time this season at the Hibs game on the 4th Feb. Hopefully go into it on a wee bit of a run. Looking forward to coming home. -

Erhahon definitely NOT going to Portsmouth according to the Pompey manager........... He said: ‘No, there’s nothing in that (being linked with Erhahon). He’s a player that we know, he’s an athletic number eight from St Mirren. ‘But it’s not an area that we’re looking to recruit in so there’s no truth in it. ‘There are a few clubs in League One who are keen to take him and it’s just somebody, somewhere trying to raise the stakes"

St Mirren v St Johnstone SPFL PREMIERSHIP 9/11/22
Prague Buddie replied to shull's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
It was really only 1 min. When the ball came in, if we had headed it clear, he would have blown right on 96mins. The extra minute was added because of O'Hara and Tanser kicking the ball away and both getting booked. -

Not sure if I missed something, but what did he do at Ibrox? -
When we play either of the Old firm (especially away), I see anything gained as bonus points. I am fully prepared for the usual defeat, however I do feel that we are probably as well equipped as we have been in 35 years to go there and actually get something. Hopefully 0-0 or 0-1 with a bit of luck. Realistically 2-0.

Apparently the chances were actually QUITE high😀😀😀

I see Hanley dropped out the Scotland squad today, what are the chances Declan could get a late call up?

Airdrie United (2002) v St Mirren League Cup 19/7/22
Prague Buddie replied to shull's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Midfield is definitely the problem. It doesn't matter how good your defence or attack are, if your midfield is poor, your whole team will look poor. Really there is nothing needs to be said. Just write the names down, and one look tells you it is weaker than last season. 21/22: Ronan, McGrath, Power, Gogic, Kiltie, Erhahon, Flynn. 22/23: O'Hara, Kiltie, Erhahon, Flynn, Reid, Baccus The worrying thing for me is that last years back up are now first choice. We have to hope that Baccus is decent and that Reid pushes on. -
Motherwell v St Mirren 2/4/22

Hopefully we can turn this around, but just had a glance at the live table, if we lose this we'd only be 6 points above St J in the play off spot. Squeaky bum time.
