Two words, Alan Stubbs. And just about every fan who sat around me, it was embarrassing as feck listening to the then 19 year old boy take absolute pelters from large sections of our support....
We don't deserve a penny from anyone for any future sales...

That's what I remembered before I saw this pic mate.
The pic did trigger my memory.
Yip I'm the same, it must have closed and moved mid/late 70s if I can remember it so there must have been a different retailer in the Smithhills street store, that's one for the really auld heids..

That surface is an absolute joke and bloody dangerous for that level of football, something needs to be done about it
Agreed, and the quality of football you get on these parks is atrocious, need to get them banned asap..

Feels like a loss.
Convinced the Dons penalty was a double touch, no way could the ball spin like it did otherwise... Gutted..

0-1 Rosenborg. What is it with all those adverts on their shirts. At first I thought Coop was a common Norwegian name.
According to my son the Rosenborg scorer played with us last season.. Thorvaldsson, I can't remember him..

And still some "supporters" are wating on the manager to fail because they don't rate him.
Tragic.
Who are these "supporters" because I haven't seen any on here who leans that way....

Serious question: can you actually enter the ground with an umbrella? I suppose they might allow those wee collapsible ones, but what about a decent sized one?
They didn't allow it down at Cappielow the other week,

anyone know what fee we got for him
A set of bibs and a bag of balls probably..
Tbh I think we'd be just happy to get him off the wage bill I can imagine DG being one of the highest payed at the club, we could maybe bring in a couple of players at the same cost..

Jammy feckers..

I remember Johnny blues, he was brutal. After he closed the shop was a small cafe for a while with a couple of arcade games, got pretty good at galaxian and asteroids, must have been 82/83
The cafe was called easy eats, I spent many a 10p in that shop even though I wasn't from the area, we would walk miles to get our fix of arcade games.. and there rolls n sausage were banging too..😂.

No issues at all with this, I believe he's friends with Robbo and if it benefits the club then what's the problem..

There was also prefabs near to StJames interchage just where they built the Airport parking {Now closed} on the left as you head up to the interchange on the duel carriageway
I lived there till they knocked them down in 1964 remember it very well, The ferguslie park prefabs got knocked down a year or 2 later
There was 3 ways into the prefabs all through Railway Bridges.... Ferguslie Park Ave next to the shop known as Nellies, off Stirrat St, and StJames ave
The area came under West March may even have been where the old Stmirren ground was ?
That sounds to me the place that was known as the cowboy valley, absolutely no idea how it became known as this..
We used to take our lives in our hands cutting through there too and from the shows at the racecourse, always a danger of taking a bushwhacking from the Craigielea drive gang...😂😂... Defo bandit country..
