Beginning to hit main stream media more and more now
The reaction when people begin to see this virus in proportion and how we’ve trashed the economy is going to be interesting

Just because you have, since day one, over reacted and I haven't been looking at worst case scenarios and panic buying doesn't mean I have a lack of intelligence.
I have continually pointed out YOU have been a fool with your actions, lack of ability to see the probability of your stupid graph.
I seen yesterday you were slevering over a possible number of 40,000......................................what an utter buffoon.
Aye, I know, not your numbers but YOU see it as possible, like you have since LPM was shouting about hundreds of thousands of deaths in the UK
There's been too many posts of your that have confirmed your PHD 🤡 means next to nothing if you don't have the ability to look at the numbers and think they are likely.
If you had any brains you would see my posts and Hirams are completely different.
PS STILL WAITING ON YOUR APOLOGY.
Run along, I have no time for an apathetic, selfish, socially inadequate clown.

Don't you wish you'd missed off the last 7 days of your " graph"? 😂😂😂

There are very few available statistics that prove anything at present.
Most of the data we have is flawed, in one way or another. It will take a significant amount of time to sort out which data is reliable and which isn't.
What is not up for argument is that the UK was hugely underprepared for this pandemic.
The main thing is that we learn from the many mistakes that have been made, and that we use any reliable data on how best to get out of the current situation and to make sure we're better prepared the next time.

Nothing to do with the lockdown according to Professor Carl Heneghan, Director of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at Oxford University

No you didn't.
You graph was posted several days after the lockdown.
No matter how many times you say it it's still a big fat lie.
Bad enough you made an utter cnut of yourself with the graph, now you're proving you're a lowlife that can't admit he was wrong.
What a walloper.
PS I've not highlighted the minor spelling error, you make a cnut of yourself enough without highlighting them.

So we haven’t reached the near 4,000 deaths per day that @oaksoft predicted?
And to put this prediction (the very word that he used himself) into perspective, @oaksoft was predicting that nearly 3 times as many people would die every day in the U.K. from Covid 19 alone than normally die each day.
Oaksoft’s stupidity knows no bounds

Sweden has proved that a total lockdown wasn’t required to flatten the curve
The debate will soon turn from why the government didn’t act sooner to why the government totally over reacted
Watching and listening to the backtracking is going to be interesting
as will listening to the usual suspecting whining about the colossal austerity that will emerge from the wrecked economy when they supported wrecking the economy

Professor Johan Giesecke, one of the world’s most senior epidemiologists, who is an advisor to the Swedish Government
The flattening of the curve we are seeing now is due to the most vulnerable dying first as much as the lockdown
UK policy on lockdown and in other European countries is not evidence-based
The correct policy is to protect the old and the frail only
This will eventually lead to herd immunity as a “by-product”
The initial UK response, before the “180 degree U-turn”, was better
The Imperial College paper was “not very good” and he has never seen an unpublished, non-peer-reviewed paper have so much policy impact
Is dismissive of the 510,000 figure that was predicted if mitigation measures were not implemented
The Imperial College paper was much too pessimistic and did not factor in the now much increased ICU capacity
Any such models are a dubious basis for public policy anyway, taking no account of real world specifics
The results will eventually be similar for all countries
Covid-19 is a “mild disease” and similar to the flu, and it was the novelty of the disease that scared people.
The actual fatality rate of Covid-19 will in all likelihood turn out to be in the region of 0.1%
At least 50% of the population of both the UK and Sweden will likely be shown to have already had the disease when mass antibody testing becomes available

The care homes deaths are a bit of a red herring
Its terrible that people are dying earlier than they should
But the reason for the lockdown is to flatten the curve and ensure the NHS could cope
The lockdown isn’t going to eradicate the virus nor is it going to stop people dying of it. It’s just supposed to even it out a bit.
As the NHS is coping and the example of Sweden proves that the curve can be flattened without a full lockdown, then the lockdown must be lifted.
We can’t continue with a measure that is actually killing thousands of people now on the basis of an Imperial College estimate which made wild over estimations. An estimate produced by people who have a vested interest in having a lockdown until a vaccine comes along.
