  1. Saints reverted to jellyfish mode and were well beaten by a much better ,tougher team. Yet another home game without a win, the new manager had better get that sorted soon. Forwards were non existent and easily swept aside. I have a feeling points will not be easily gained in the next few games. Hope for a vast improvement in the upcoming cup tie, or else forget it.

Nothing like him. I had family in Stewarton and nobody had a bad word to say about him. He has always worked for communities he's lived in and is very generous.  At almost every club he's played at he would buy about 50 match tickets and give them to charities so that folk without much could get to a game. Good guy by all accounts.

His personal character I have no knowledge of, but on the park, whilst a good player, he is a bad sport. My main point is, no managerial experience and appears to be fast tracked into a top league appointment. On what basis ?

    4228 at Livingston today.

Thought it looked like more than normal as games at that ground usually look like they are played behind closed doors. We looked poor in the brief highlights so I suppose a draw keeps things going. We ought to beat Dundee midweek as they are hopeless and we owe them for the earlier defeat. Can’t say I’m impressed with the list of potential manager material, why Is Naismith so well thought of ? I’ve always seen him as a little nark and bad sport. Must have friends in high places maybe?

  4. With the amount of midweek games played recently, and likely more to come, would it not have been a decent gesture to let kids in for a nominal amount ? Bearing in mind those with season tickets must have missed lots of games with school the next morning. As for today’s game, weather is atrocious so could be a leveller. Looks like the quarter finals will be likely all premier teams, so no easy ties. Best we get an away draw though.

Wonder which of our new signings we'll see tonight. Gogic and Jones coming on from the bench at some point?

I also wonder if the club are considering that with so many midweek games, young season ticket holders are mainly unable to attend, as well as adults who expected games to be on a Saturday afternoon ? My own grandson has been at 4 games and has seen 2 goals, no wins, with his season ticket. That’s just not good enough to encourage a first season novice from a Glasgow school, where I doubt many of his peers follow Saints, to want to return next year. The fact we have failed to sign a much needed goal scorer just adds icing to the cake. Poor show Saints.

Was enjoying your summation till that unnecessary dig at the end! "Mostly didn't bother"

What a cheap shot Mr Superfan! Totally unnecessary and inaccurate.

Not criticising our fans, but most didn’t turn up, you can’t deny that surely .?

  7. Watching the game was agony , expecting Celtic to score any time they went up the park, but Saints held out bravely. The young lads showed how it should be done. Great display by the goalie and big Joe among others. Celtic were much the better team but wanted to walk the ball into the goals. Serves them right. , but their fans added to the atmosphere. Ours mostly didn’t bother turning up.

  8. I finally have my season ticket and reckon this is last chance to see live football for quite a while. Pity it will be to witness a massacre, as even at full strength we meekly surrender to this opponent. Think we will be near enough bottom of the league whenever it resumes after the break.

  9. After being unable to get into the last home game, same thing again today as season ticket not working. I eventually got in after 15 mins, having had to queue at ticket office. As if that’s not bad enough, having to watch that drivel on the park is adding insult to injury. Can anyone explain why Main was ever signed, never mind getting a game. He even makes Obika look good, and he was hopeless. Reckon we are definitely headed for either demotion or at best a play off place. Get a centre forward signed or forget it. Also, the ticket situation is appalling.

Absolutely honking performance. At half time the club should have sent people round to give the punters half their money back. Never improved much in the 2nd. We are dire at home. One win at home in the league against 10 men. If either team had won the game 1.0 it would have been a smash n grab cos both were equally as bad as each other. Only good thing was the goals. 2 good strikes to be fair. Not even gonna the ref cos they are piss poor every week. How he missed the pen at the end god only knows.

Agree with this summation. Home form is dreadful, we are going to be in trouble if this continues.
