    Just back from the game.

Not just poor defending. We stood off Hibs For most of the game allowing them to grow in confidence. Still we created the best two chances od the first half. We were sat right at the front so it was hard to tell but we couldn't believe Olusanya didn't hit the target and we scored against the run of play. After Hibs scored their second and we eventually made some substitutions we started to press from the front and that's where we get the equalizer. A fantastic strike from young Baccus. But then we reverted to standing off them making them look like Barcefeckin'lona. I thought we were gonna steal the draw for a brief period but it wasn't to be, Best team on the night won and now we will see what sort of mentality our players have. Bounce back v Killie or fold. Show us what you've got lads.

ETA We had no problems parking. Arrived after 5.30, parked on London Road then went into the Herringbone Abbeymill for a couple of soft drinks. It turned out to be a good call as I had no issues getting out of the city after the game.

We seem to always struggle second half, particularly at home. Surely we ought to beat Killie at last on Saturday?. Can’t make the game but will be hoping for the three points.

Another hard fought win and a great 3 points but, by God, we don't make it easy for ourselves. We hardly won a a second ball in the second half, and we gave them so much space down our right.  Their left sided players were allowed to run for f**king miles without a challenge. Even so, we're still up there!!!

And 3 goals chalked off?  3??? Mandron's was a thing of beauty. I couldn't follow the ref - he'd point one way and give the free kick the other.

Agree about the second half, it seems like that every home game, heart in the mouth. That said, a great result and fantastic show by Gogic who was immense. Felt the disallowed goals were very harsh and for the ref to take nearly 4 minutes to decide on the last one is pathetic. Big crowds make the games exciting, keep it up Saints. 👍

Can't agree with this our keeper had one decent save to make the rest were routine handling of the ball .We scored and Well keeper saved a mandron header with his legs and we should have had a second in the last minute instead.it was put over when it was easier to score .They huffed and puffed but were toothless so deserved to lose .

Just my impression from brief highlights. Obviously wrong.

Clarke seems to have the tactical nuance to utilise what he has at his disposal. I definitely think he's far better than his counterpart in the English setup who, I think, gets fa more praise than he deserves.

From what I can gather, the English manager isn’t particularly rated by their fans. Their ability to always qualify for tournaments just about keeps him in a job. Of course the first good team they meet sees their exit.

  5. Decent result the other night, only saw the highlights of course. Seems the stars are in alignment for both Saints and the national team at the moment. As for the English game, a rare treat to be able to watch on my own tv, but mindful that we have a poor record against our rivals. As both teams are likely yo be made up of players from the English league, I think it would be a mistake for Clarke to field anyone from out with their top division as the difference in ability would put Scotland at a disadvantage. Just my take on it, mind.

Would take a draw today - our away form is a bit of a concern and having changed our entire defence I’m not sure how they will cope with Hibs attacking threat. Also please no high hopeful punt as being our main tactic today.

That’s about right. Have seen both home games but not too impressed although hard to judge as both opponents were  pretty hopeless. Expecting a big improvement today.

  7. I think Robinson is making a bad job with his signings and this will be his undoing. They all seem to be made of chocolate. Can see a change of manager in the not too distant. Ninety odd minutes to see off a non league team. Pretty pathetic.

  8. A last minute decision to attend was made insightful by the brace from the debut boy. Also impressed by Sutherland, he definitely has something. Arbroath were poor and we ought to have scored many more but 4 goals is unusual for us. Still need vast improvement from the defence but it may come with time. Incidentally, got my season ticket in the post yesterday 👍
