  1. No, North Korea has laws against free speech. They specify things that you're not allowed to say. Here it's a more generic "likely to incite" sort of thing. Even then, you are still free to say them and take your chances in court if charged.
  2. All that then "Best wishes"!!!! [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
  3. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from the consequences of your speech. Everybody is free to say what they want, when they want and where they want. If what they say gets them banned from somewhere, charged with something or kicked in the somethings then that is part of the price of freedom of speech.
  4. You could always ask[mention=15031]antrin[/mention] as he's been around since before the Israelites kicked out the Amalekites. [emoji16]
  5. Apparently, someone thinks that because the funding wasn't granted and, even if it was, it would have required SMFC approval for the plan to go ahead, that nothing of note has occurred. The fact that Kibble used the SMFC charity name in their proposal without consent and presented SMFC land to be used in their proposal without consent, seems to not matter a jot to someone. As I have previously said, it's about the trustworthiness of those involved.
  6. The biggest point to me is, if they have done this once, how many other times have they done something similar, or how many times would they have done something similar if they had got away with this time. It's not really about the scope of the "crime", it's about the trustworthiness of those involved.
  7. The other folk ... and Cookie. [emoji16]
  8. Don't think it was ever officially "brae", though it was always referred to as such. Still is.
  9. He can't spell calendar. Unless he was talking about the town, then he can't spell Callander.
  10. It's not value-free, it tells you a lot about the person saying it.
  11. Dunno, but he looks as surprised as the sum. [emoji16]
  12. The memories and errors/typos of others are irrelevant to my point. The street signs said "Mirin", bank and building society statements said "Mirin", bus routes said "Mirin", PDE always said "Mirin", etc.
  13. Why emphasise their skin colour? You don't get inclusiveness and equality by saying "look at me, I'm different" (or "look at them, they're different").
  14. Ginger history month? 5'2" brunette history month? Shetland pony history month?
  15. The world has always been run for the benefit of "the few". Their way of control is to convince enough people that if they work hard enough/earn enough that they too can become one of "the few". Which would obviously make them "the many", not "the few" - and "the few" don't really want that.
  16. I've never understood why any "group" that feels marginalised tries to get "equality" by singling themselves out. To me, the whole thing should be about inclusivity, avoiding labels, not pointing out differences.
  17. More to the point, why is it only January that has a comma after it?
  18. I've been accused of being many things in my life - but sensible????
  19. He's not very good with the maths though. The minimum difference between standard and 1st class wouldn't be between the cheapest standard fare and the cheapest 1st class fare, it would be between the dearest standard and cheapest 1st class. Just sayin', like.
