  1. Do you not think that the actions taken, e.g. banning CFCs, had an effect on those predictions?
  2. That's not what it says. There is a huge difference between the highest January temperature on record and the warmest January on record. The former is a recording of a single instance while the latter is the average of multiple instances over the month.
  3. I must have read more of that than you - 1 minute too late, so I "missed the train". Damn you. [emoji16]
  4. Apparently the other end of the loop was connected at St James, though. http://railway.paisleyhistory.uk/ Aye.
  5. I don't see anything about "the warmest January on record". You're sounding a bit "climate change denier" there.
  6. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/jan/26/e-jean-carroll-damages-trump-defamation-trial Oh dear, how sad ... nah, no' really. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
  7. The '26 Cup Final was definitely before this forum, so your story may be true. [emoji849]
  8. It was the Green and Whyte double act that really got them. Pity one of the administratirs wasn't a Mr Gold.
  9. https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/24066163.storm-isha-batters-ibrox-rangers-stadium-victim-wild-weather/ Oh dear, how sad, fukem.
  10. Personally, I blame Jesus, it all goes back to him. Or maybe his auld faither.
  11. Aye, but what are they well known for? Conning people?
  12. Too late, I've got it. Cost me two packs of Jammie Dodgers and a Greggs sausage roll - I think I was overcharged.
  13. If it was advertised as having it then (in my opinion) you would be right to assume that it is working. Otherwise they could just stick a new one, still in the box, inside the vehicle and claim that it has one. Just tell them to fix it before you collect it, as it was obviously priced assuming that it was working.
  14. According to Google, around 700 of the 900 prosecutions were led by the post office, with the others being done by the likes of the CPS. I imagine those ones (the others) were possibly the more obvious frauds/thefts as the CPS etc wouldn't want to be taking on ones without decent evidence. Maybe the 700 were knocked back by the CPS etc due to lack of evidence of criminality. Just my thoughts on it. There were obviously other sub-postmasters that paid the PO money that they didn't actually owe them to avoid prosecution. It's all a complete f**k-up that could have been avoided if Fujitsu and the PO just admitted at the time that the system had faults, then fixed them - or maybe even tested it properly in the first place.
  15. If the wording of the email states, or implies, that you were previously told that it was working, then you should be able to get your deposit back or have the system fixed before you collect it.
  16. Don't think so. Think there's a small payment to cover extra costs (electricity etc) but the rest is all down to league placing.
  17. I might decide to take early retirement this year. In fact, the amount of work I do, some think I retired 5 years ago. [emoji16]
  18. I don't go back to work until Monday. That should cheer you up. [emoji1787]
  19. I'm not defending anyone using a mobile while at the wheel - but that guy doing the recording is a total twat. Plus, he also recorded himself going on the right hand side of a traffic cone after a previous keep left sign.
  20. Quite interesting but don't know how much is accurate when they didn't even get the correct year WW2 started. [emoji849]
