I just don't like Motherwell supporters, they have this delusion that they're a "big team". Aye, OK, not all of them, but a fair %age.Didn't we get the St. Johnstone manager the sack after we pumped them 4-0? Kettlewell's coat's hanging on a shoogly peg and I think that suits us well. An early goal against this mob and we could well skelp them. That lad Biereth is a threat, though. -
Imagine having a boss who's 40 years your junior. And Bobby Holmes was my boss (of the section in an office job) for a few months in Pressed Steel. A really decent man. 91 now.
In 1955, in his prime…
… with (I think) Tommy Gemmell as back up, there. -
I never said it was ALL about money but the fact that all teams in the EPL are earning in excess of £100m must have some sort of "levelling" effect. Not sure they were throughout his tenure, but its, again, not as simple as money. [emoji849]
Look at the English league this season.
Good/great mangers are that because they get the best from players.
You only need to look as far, and it's not very far, at our current manger. -
The point about money is that more teams have it and some have considerably more than Man U. In Fergies day Man U were at the top of the rich list by a considerable margin (for most of it). Maybe a fair bit of that was down to Fergie himself and his success, though. He was very close to being sacked.
The win against Crystal Palace probably saved him but it's stretching it a bit to indicate that it's down to money as if you look at what teams spend it's FAR from that simple. -
With the WWII bomber? Can’t be Elvis, Sunday sport said he was on the moon. -

Simple, just pass a law saying so - and throw in ones about having good weather all day, summer 11.5 months a year (2 weeks of light fluffy snow round about xmas), everything free and no shitty jobs (you will need money when going on your 6 months of vacations abroad) and it's sorted.I like your thinking [emoji3166] if only there was also some way for people not to get sick over the weekend and after 5pm and I think we may have cracked it.
This is feckin easy, why hasn't anyone ever thought of this before? [emoji6] -
Could the bus driver not work from home the same days that the passengers do? [emoji848]Hard to fill jobs now as you can’t work from home 3 days a week. -
Is it just me
Aye, it usually is. [emoji16] -
Aye, but there are more than 4 of those.
Unlike these. -
Speak for yourself, I'm doing this by telepathy. Not got it down 100% yet, hence the tiepoes. Now we're talking....[emoji106] -
I don't thing those forks have handles.Four candles?
(And repeat)
That was the joke. [emoji6] -
It doesn't look like that to me but, as I said, no glasses. The clampy/grippy thingamabobs are forks that have been moved close together To clampy/grip the beam/column. -
Already been used, do keep up auld yin. [emoji1787]Like four candles? -
Yeah, lack of drivers was the reason given for that. Maybe he decided after that, that it wasn't worth the hassle. The Key Coaches services that covered the Lochwinnoch and Hunterhill routes have ceased [emoji777][emoji590][emoji590][emoji777] -
I assumed you were talking about forks as in forklift type forks. So clampy/grippy thingies are also called forks?the two right-angled parts either side of the beam are forks, they are being used to support the beam
The man must have pissed off while you were zooming in on the photo, or more likely fell off. -
That may explain everything. [emoji1787]Did someone mention forks?
-
I think Stevie, the owner of Key Coaches, might be retiring. He's well past retiral age and probably just wants to relax. Some wisecrack on another platform said the reason for the lack of buses to that area was there was only one guy waiting for a bus!
They had a decent point I thought. [emoji23]
The article had Councillor John Hood pictured 4 times on his own.

Maybe it's just cos I can't find my glasses, but I can't see any forks, never mind someone on them. Looks more like a big clampy/grippy thingy (feck knows the right terminology) holding the big red metally thingy. And if you think that's bad, you really don't want to hear me explain how da interweb workees.
Let's play, spot the person on the forks. [emoji1787]
Nope I COULDN'T see anyone either. [emoji1787] -
Don't you start, Beetlejuice will appear.Close to a fact then. [emoji6] -
Personally, I think it's all ALBIONSAINT's fault. I also think he was responsible for the Crimean war and the extinction of the non-avian dinosaurs.Aye, Westminster bad, SNP good.
Naive to say the least.
But that's just my opinion. -
I won't leave you out of it, Allison. [emoji16]You leave Allison out of this. [emoji6] -
It's really his wife's room. [emoji16]
Games room ?
More like ‘Swally Alley’ [emoji3]
Looks great ! -
Agreed. But even if Kettlewell is still in charge on Saturday, there's still the old custom of generous St. Mirren giving a team in difficulties a hand to break out of a bad run. We've seen it all too often over the years. So, no complacency, a repeat of last Saturday's performance, everybody in good form and playing at full blast please.
COYS!!
Supporters of every team think the exact same thing about their team. I think it's a case of only remembering the good or bad results and forgetting the expected, "mundane", run-of-the-mill ones.
