A good point you make about it isn't as much fun as they thought. Whilst reading all this stuff I had a look at the Exeter City model of being fan owned(which they are). Does make interesting reading of all the hard work that their supporters trust had to put in over a long period of time to get to where they are now.
Our situation is different with another organisation having a sizeable % in club, now whether SG has a magic financial wand to buy this organisation out then offer SMISA the chance to purchase these shares at a manageable rate like the original GLS model then I'm sure opinions to his motive may well change.

On the plus side we are still in top 6 after this
-
Robbo needs to get this team back in tomorrow for some ruthless training. No day off after this.

To be fair hibs started off on front foot, we didn't

Game over.

dont think that was a penalty, looked like it hit his shoulder not his hand, crap decision IMHO
Never a penalty in a million years

What an utter wank decision, same as the Aberdeen one
-
Ffs not a penalty surely

The hibs commentators ovb don't seem to get how we play. We don't need to have all the possession, now we know how to win.
-
Love this commentary they obviously don't know that Gogic sometimes plays CB for Cyprus at times so does know how to play position.
-
On replay it looked offside. Good VAR.
-
Good stuff, McKirdy out for hibs. Really good player.

Has SMISA the same time scale with Kibble as they had with GLS. 🤔
Imo they shouldn't be allowed to increase their % of shares, however that is for others to stay firm and not sell.

Just means they can place their country wide residential kids rather than the local community.
Of which they will be very well paid by the respective county councils that the kids will come from.

Why, no ambition to be 100% fan (SMISA) owned. 🤔
I agree, ideally should be 100% fan owned. There are 2 points really
1) Kibble came up with the money.
2) GLS did accept so he got his investment back early whereas he could have always said no and stuck to the timescale planned for SMISA to completely own club.

Have a look at their website, more so about their skills academy. Makes sense why they would want to be involved with the club having numerous sponsors who could be utilised for placements. Certainly saves Kibble the hard work of finding companies that would want to be involved with this.

Never a dull day supporting the saints 😂
Yeah very true we never had this when we were fighting for our SPL lives...............year after year🥺
This better season so far is like a complete shock to the system🤣

Having had a look at the prospective candidates blogs then I think it is safe to assume that SG will be back unfortunately. 4 positions with 6 candidates apparently.
Anyway I have tried to stay out of the whole SMISA/Kibble debate but after reading SG's comments about them...........
Kibble whether people like them involved or not is immaterial. A very clever move by them and the work that they are involved in. What they don't have to do now is approach companies to see if they will provide training places, they now have a 'captive audience' of club sponsors who may feel obliged to do so as it will 'benefit the community', blah, blah, blah.

He stood in the student union the last day of the season in 2014 and told me and 4 others that there was a board meeting on Monday and he wanted Danny gone, not renewed.
I told him he was bang out of order for discussing it so openly with supporters and also out of order for cutting a guy adrift who'd done a very decent job and he looked each of us in the eye and said we'd be moving on to bigger and better things. Less than a week later, Tommy Craig was in charge.
Nah, his time in the sun has been and gone - no need to go back to the days of old. He served a purpose when the club needed him and over the piece, did so quite well. There's no need for him to be anywhere near SMFC now as anything other than a supporter.
So going by your first two paragraphs, quite the charmer isn't he? Devoid of decency and any people management skills. This is the last thing the club needs at this moment, somebody like SG getting back in.
If he manages to we might as well turn the clock back nr 10 years and start all over again..............

SGG the Boris Johnson of St Mirren.
Take £100k’s off SMISA then want to sit at the table for £12/month.
Brings some real context to the extent of bullshit rumours doing their rounds over the last few weeks.
The audacity of this is incredible. Even his statement is having a “between the lines” kick at the Club, Kibble and SMISA. Better vote him as he knows best.
The later years of his stewardship of the club were the most depressing times of being a fan of St Mirren. Sack Danny Lennon replace him with Craig, Teale, Murray then Rae. No fan engagement other than tell us we knew feck all and we needed a R**gers.
To be brutally honest to have SG back involved with the club would make a complete mockery of the direction the club is moving in now. Whether people like it or not, Kibble are here to stay. They do have a sizeable share in club really.
Get SG back on board and the generous budgets we have given managers will go, pipedreams of top 6 instead of now a distinct reality although it has taken quite some time to get a team capable of doing it.
Imo he just wants to be involved again for own ego and definitely not for the benefit of the club.
Coincidentally on the subject of Danny Lennon sacking or refusal to offer new contract. I remember watching the post match interviews of the 2013 Cup final with SG and Lennon, not very comfortable watching, even mentioned it to a few and it did seem that it was an irritant that lennon had led us to win the cup.

Felt worse after the flu jab to be honest!
Got both of mine a couple of weeks ago, ambushed from both sides 🤣
Would have said was a bit ropey next day but I think that had more to do with me going out the same night as getting jabs.
Would have been rude to stay in on a Saturday night🤣🤣

Just watched it now. Legend. Nothing more that anyone can add really.

You could give the bigots 3 stands and they would still be in the home end.
The club is being fair by treating all other clubs the exact same way, 1 stand and no more.
I wonder if other clubs will follow suit.

A point is a point. I really think if we had lost today following the gubbing at ibrox then heads could have started to drop. To not play well and still get something may well be the thing that starts us going again.

Could it be the other organisation came up with possibly more money than was required and GLS took it? Also it would be interesting to see if the original agreement with SMISA was legally binding or was it a 'gentlemans agreement '. If the latter then it's just down to business, happens everywhere.
