I wouldn't go as far to suggest a ridiculous increase but there must be a certain room for manoeuvre within budget, whether it be certain bonuses or whatever. 
Other thing is now, does he see his future with us?

A fairly substantial wage increase with a sensible release clause i would like to think would be offered now he has got into national team so that any move would be to a higher level, not the likes of hibs or dons but realistic target would be at least English championship if not lower epl.

Sometimes, just sometimes even if a player not progressing at one club can go somewhere else on loan or perm transfer and be totally different. Last seasons transformation in Jesse Langar at west ham proved that imo. Might just be the thing for Cammy instead of letting a career drift away.

Has it been different since we squandered the Ian Ferguson transfer money years and years ago? I would probably go as far to say you could maybe take away a  few years fairly recently where we have had to recruit heavy due to cancelling contracts of really crap players brought in by managers.

It can't be just Goodwin that negotiates deals tho at the club. Would it be right to assume that once an agent gets wind that a club is interested in their player then both agent and player will look at many factors of interested team before entering negotiations such as league, league position, way the team plays, etc.as a bad move for a player is loss of earnings for an agent.
On the subject of Cammy going on loan for the whole season, I just wonder if along with an issue with JG not rating him for team, is this the last year of his contract?

No not really given the time frame/panic interest as it would have been done electronically and that gives a time footprint which can't be bodged. It's just the initial paperwork(so to speak) that has to be submitted priori to window closing.

I read that too on BBC. To be fair we could have just said NO to Hibs and Aberdeen. But no further signings off our own bat speaks volumes. Fake saints brought in another defender on loan from Brighton 1 hour after Kerr deal was finalised to Wigan. Now we struggle on to January. ...............

If we were the club that the board think we are we won't entertain selling our best players to those in same league and would be able to attract players without dithering over the line

I'm  sure they get an hour same as England do after window closes to get paperwork done.
