  1. Lots of SMFC oriented folks around. I have to admit that I prefer content posted by people going to or who have been at the games whilst realising that some posters may not be financially, health wise or have carer duties that prevent them from going. Help a Buddy is a great idea

Not sure there many whining about VAR at the Aberdeen game penalty decision?

I'm not saying that VAR has transpired into the game changer I'd hoped for but there's a massive exaggeration about the time's it's less than perfect.

It's what supporter's do, moan and IF any use VAR as some excuse to stop going they were far from interested in supporting the club anyway.

Always better to be at a game for sure. Especially over the last couple of seasons. VAR is, IMO, a mixed blessing in that it is useful for very close offside decisions. However, the rule on handball is still open to much interpretation by different officials. An ex senior ref on radio recently read out the rule which appears to say simply that any handball in the box, whether accidental or not, should result in a penalty. I would still like more communication to the crowd on what is being looked at. I would rather the correct decision was made rather than a quick one. Re Motherwell game. We have our tickets and will be there. Often games full of incident and I expect this one to be no different. COYS

Can’t remember a bounce like that at the new stadium since the play-off pens win against Dundee Utd. It was rocking.
Great strike for them to take the lead then they resorted to hoofball, diving and time wasting. Shinnie should’ve been booked much earlier in the game and some of McGrath’s antics were sad to see. Made the late late goals so much sweeter.
We tried to play much more football than them but didn’t look like scoring in the second half. The subs played their part, especially Olusanya (again). O’Hara’s penalty was ice-cool too although I couldn’t watch it live. What a way to win an important game of football.
Still absolutely buzzing but feeling my age. Needed to pop into a garage to get some paracetamol before the trek back to Fife. 😂
The celebrations at the end just confirms the brilliant spirit in our squad.

    COYS!!!!!

    Couldn’t say it any better!

I thought about that and came up with a few theories:

    1) He doesn't want to be seen to be just interested in the big clubs.

    2) It's nearer the airport.

    3) He's a Catholic, even just culturally, and cannot abide the idea of going to Ibrox.

    4) He's got a soft spot for one of the clubs.

Yours is one I hadn't considered, but is a definitely a possibility, too.

Also reported that Aresene Wenger was there. No idea why, if true

County away midweek in winter was always going to be a tough fixture. I'd have taken a draw before the game, given both Dundee and Killie play the Old Firm tomorrow night. We cannae take anything for granted, but if the uglies win then it's a point gained. :)

We should have had a penalty, too!

Hopefully there will be a massive turnout on Saturday and we take three points off Aberdeen.

Agree. I would have taken a draw before the game too. A penalty on two counts potentially-one for a shirt pull (looked at and not given by VAR) or alternatively hand ball (not looked at by VAR. Credit to Ross County for an “in your face” hard working performance. Just wasn’t our night when you have a player like Gogic making an elementary mistake and Tanser out of sorts.

I notice Dhanda was out injured for County’s game yesterday.
No harm to the lad, but I hope he remains out for at least one more game.

Would also help if Brophy returned to type and forgets where the goals are.
