  1. R.I.P. Malky Another Earthly “Saint” in heaven
  2. Dirty Old Town by Peat and Diesel. Excellent
  3. Easy tiger! I like your thinking but doubt it will be easy. Hope you are right and I am wrong.
  4. Very unlucky to be booked for his first (?) tackle yesterday.
  5. St J were poor. Our most effective tactic was to give them the ball. We didn’t play nearly as well as last week but took all three points. Funny old game.
  6. You were spot on about the type of game and the danger from corners and dead ball situations. Prophetic - unfortunately. Galling, especially since we otherwise played well (IMO)
  7. I hope you are right and will be “in that number” and hope that “The Saints go marching in” and off with 3 points. Won’t be easy but is possible
  8. Our group of six will be there. Never easy against Livvy, particularly on their artificial pitch. Three points there will be hard earned. Hoping for a St Mirren win.
  9. Hopefully we will have a lot of cheering to do to warm us up! In Dundee we opened up and went at them and they picked holes in us and ran out worthy winners. Robbo has acknowledged that and has , I hope, planned accordingly. Dundee have two very useful players in Beck and McCowan
  10. Great performance and great backing from the away support! Great day out!
  11. Agree that this won’t be an easy game. Also agree that it is “one of those” games which are particularly significant. Hoping for a win!
  12. Makes sense to me and hope for a 7,000 plus crowd at what will be our last home game of 2023 with us sitting in the top six.
  13. Sadly wrong on all counts Shull. The place was “Jam Packed” and the score was Ex Buddies (Shankland 2) Saint Mirren 0
  14. Tickets are available on the day. Sources: SMFC email and Phone Call to LFC. Get there early was the advice. Opens at 13.30.
  15. But for John Beaton you would have been spot on!
  16. Thanks for your advice. My rehab is going well. I’ve never travelled by public transport to a game. By the time of the match I will be around 4 weeks in and walking an average of 4,000 steps a day and carrying out physio exercises 4 times a day. I take a cushion with me and our season ticket seats are over a vomitory exit with a rail affixed in front. Normally my two 6ft 4inch sons are with me. I enter early from the car park into the west stand and leave late. The stairs have no handrails so avoid any crush there. Stewards on the gates have been great at letting me in without going through the turnstile and other fans have been marvellous in making sure I have had space. All in all - good for the body and the mind.
  17. I certainly liked him as a player and would have preferred to see him stay.
