Red was until probably the late 90s almost exclusively our away kit colour (sometimes white). Also I remember the bar scarves back in the day that were black with a thinner white bar and then an even thinner red bar inside the white one. Things like club ties always had red in them too. 
Put it this way, if some asked me what colours St. Mirren play in I would always say black and white stripes, but if someone asked me what are St. Mirren’s club colours, I would always say black, white and red. 

And never coke and vodka either. 

For the same reason people don't say 'chips and fish'...
Anyway, I partially agree with the opening poster, but also partially agree with @TPAFKA Jersey 2.  Our main colours are black and white, with red being far less significant, but still an integral part of the club's identity. In any flag, red should be a minor constituent, comprising say 10% with black and white making up 45% each. 

I’ve been watching St. Mirren since 1976 and the club colours have ALWAYS been Black, White and Red. 

Season ticket lottery, 1 pound a go, my guess is we end up with 4216. 😁

2,500 is excellent going and will hopefully climb significantly again tomorrow with people off their work and going down to renew.
On June 10th 2022, the figure was just over 2000 and by the time the season kicked off we were on a bit over 3,400. By the end of the season after the half season tickets were taken into consideration, the club shifted 3,800 season tickets.
If we could get anywhere close to that number by kick off, it would be brilliant progress and would probably leave us with well over 4,000 ST holders after the half season tickets go on sale in December.

I’m also sure that whatever the Scot Nats screamed about COULD (and would) have been accommodated - and I'm equally sure that the Tories would have been happy to open up the vote to Scots living elsewhere in the UK.
 
(and - for Stanley Saint -  Your opinion is valid though I don’t share it.  At the time I was annually working and staying in Scotland from about March to October.  
Also, more importantly, imho creating schisms between the peoples who inhabit this island is up there on a par with Brexit - if not more insane.  Divide and conquer - the ruling classes have got it covered.)

Yeah but when we signed Dunne I thought this was stupid with his injury history,.but he did fairly well to last. Our backroom staff must be able to work wonders on someone like him (not Brophy though) .

Why folk caring about this draw ?, on paper it’s easy what else do we want , do you want hard games the test the players more and maybe use a bit more energy in . Me I don’t care it’s all about getting into the knockout round , I would take easy groups all the time🐼
