Thanks for responding. As I said I don't normally get involved and thought I put across a balanced perspective on the issue. As to being very unfair to call it a vanity project, this was one line in my response, prefaced with 'if I'm being unkind' . I had nor have any intention of making my posts about that individual, hence why it was a single line in what was my longest post ever on a broader subject about the club progressing, which I stand by. I accept and appreciate fans were involved in the original 1877 and this should be celebrated within our club however there are always limitations to how successful these and my opinion is that in our club 1877 was one of these. I don't normally get involved on here on some of the posts, so here goes. If we want the club to progress there will have to be change, money will need to be generated from non footballing opportunities. I was in old 1877 a few times, never liked it, looked cheap and half done. If im being unkind it was a vanityy project for 1 man. I feel the prices are reasonable when compared to other events that aren't football related. Guests should be paying an equivalent charge, they are using the same venue. Does new version look better, is it worth the money, maybe, but supporting the club financially and having a beer is a good day in my books. I think it will develop further over the years as will other money generating ideas to bring more income into the team for the gaffer to invest. Just my thoughts.

I never hear any rumours so I've made up my own, bought for 100k, sold for 101k plus add ons including buy back for 102k.

Well written and good outcome for fans. One thing that strikes me is that it says they were just enforcing the rules that already existed. Due to the small numbers involved here, could private correspondence not have been had with those affected before enforcing the rules? I'm not one to criticise unfairly but I do feel that we are again being displayed negatively when common sense might have prevented this.

We need to play them all at some point, look at our form in the last 5 games after the split. We can be confident but realistic in most games. I'm ready for Top 6 again and a decent cup run. Would I take bottom 6 plus a cup win, probably.

I wonder if other clubs have these types of issues? By that i mean fans with agendas that make it to board level and then national newspapers. Is this one of the consequences of being fan owned. I am not disparaging AW by use of the word agenda above, simply that this shit show has been running for a long time, JG and MM have to also take responsibility for this mess

After what feels like forever, this shit show has ended. Looks like nobody won and everybody lost something. Put it in the past and move on.

He's been a great appointment but if he goes, the gaffer goes knowing he has changed us and made us better. Challenge is then set down the next manager to build on it. I hope he stays for at least one more season but his stock is high and english clubs can outprice us and most other clubs in scotland.

Looking forward to my 2nd game of the season. Not confident, hope we give ourselves a chance by playing to our capabilities with a sensible press on the defence, and effective counters. If we lose a goal, don't lose the head and concede a couple quickly.

I have it on good authority that it's going to be a 2 - 1 victory on Thursday, followed by a 1 -1 draw in Norway. Then a 1 nil victory followed up with another 1 - 1 draw in Kazakhstan to pave the way for european group stage football
