  1. I still can't work out how he did it . When it left Stevie's foot I thought it was going a mile over. A thing of total beauty.
  2. Thanks HSS I should have been more specific. When I said lost only one game ,I meant lost only one league game.
  3. Not sold on the strip idea, but whit a f*cken team that was. The team that seduced me into becoming a lifetime supporter. Lost only one game that season IIRC.
  4. Freeze Frame was a great album not a bad track on it. RIP.
  5. Morton need a maximum of 4 points from 4 games to secure a play off spot. Don't see them busting a gut on our behalf tbh.
  6. Robert Dawson. A defender that couldn't do anything that a defender is meant to do. We paid money for him FFS and were stuck with him for what seemed like an eternity.
  7. I'm not judging on players careers after they left the Saints but how they perfomed in a Saints shirt. So... Frank McAvennie Doug Somner Tony Fitzpatrick Ian Munro Frank McGarvey Ian Ferguson
  8. Born Paisley, brought up Erskine (before it had a bridge or a toon). Then Bishopton, 1st flat in Paisley at the away end (Caledonia Road) last flat at home end Inchinnnan Road. Not that I was obsessed you understand. Then women got in the way. So Dumbarton, Bishopton again, Glasgow then Largs. Started watching the season that the Saints never lost (1967/68). Well it looked that way to me, in fact they only lost one game that season. Hooked ever since. Presently residing in Auckland, NZ.
  9. Two good crosses in a row finally and a goal results.
  10. We are marginally less pish than first game of the season last year.
  11. I thought it was a paisley pattern swirl too. Examined closely it isn't. Think it was Sandman on here that showed that. Anyhoo here it is... http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/teams/s/st-mirren/buy-vintage-original-st-mirren-shirts-t173.html
  12. I love it. I thought the original all black kit had the Paisley pattern in it and was disappointed to find out that it wasn't. This one has and I think it looks braw.
  13. I know Tom personally. A great lad, his parents have kept his feet on the ground. (thus no tattoo sleeves or beard lol). He is a two footed player so can play on either wing. I think we have still to see the best of him. Very glad he is a Saint for now. I wish it was a full season loan though.
  14. I'm staying in NZ at the moment. I have seen him in a couple of games. He is good at Aussie league level. However, can't see him ever getting near the Man City first team. I would have said lower English Championship team at best in terms of his level.
  15. Recently described as the best Aussie midfielder currently playing. Let's hope he won't be currantly playing in the future.
  16. FFS canny believe we paid money for Robert Dawson!
  17. Anything Fast and Furious. Any Mission Impossible. Controversially, Apocalypse Now. I have tried to watch this on numerous occasions, I have yet to make anywhere near the end before falling asleep. The Deerhunter. Thought the introduction would never end. Slow as a snail on chloroform. The Russian Roulette bit come on!
  18. Struggling to remember first game. First season was 67/68 old second division. I remember thinking even at my tender age FFS this team never lose. Hooked ever since. Was I conned ? Stats for that season in link below. I wasn't far wrong about them never losing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967%E2%80%9368_in_Scottish_football
  19. Thanks for that heads up. I was just going to donner along.
  20. Agnew reminds me of Tam Broon wee and gemme. Agreed man of the match with special mention for Morgan. He is as kwikasfuki! or is that a Japanese motorbike?
  21. I think the new look is braw. Very clean and fresh looking.
  22. Being an uber pessimist I've gone for 6th and a long term stay like Falkirk.
  23. I think the letter also said "should you actually use indicators to overtake or move into the middle or outside lane on the motorway this then gives you the absolute right to pull out in front of any vehicle that currently occupies this lane regardless of its proximity to you." "Making the car in that lane brake heavily is highly desirable too."
