Mind going to a game at Dens Park in the mid 90s. Charnley was playing for Dundee. We went 1-0 up in the first half through a cracking goal by Jamie Fullarton. Charnley equalised midway through the second half with a free kick. He ran the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Saints fans. We brought on wee John McMillan with a few minutes to go and immediately charged down a clearance by the Dundee keeper and tapped in the winner. The final whistle went shortly after and with the Saints fans immediately above the tunnel at the end of that old stand, Charnley had to run the gauntlet of fierce abuse. It was hilarious.

I think I might LITERALLY pish myself laughing if that happened.

I’d go a step further and say it’s a case they’ve got no chance of winning. Budge must have money to burn. might be worth a wee visit back to the St. Mirren thread on kickback in a wee while. They’ll be going bonkers.

The most we’ve had is a bit monument “art”. Two 20 year olds were arrested yesterday for assaulting a police officer who caught them trying to throw paint on a local statue. Certainly no mass disorder of any kind.

I’ll confess that over the last few weeks I’ve had a slowly creeping feeling of concern about the kind of world we’re going to be living in in the near future. There are some genuinely scary things going on at the moment. This feeling was increased tenfold today when I saw this tweet. That was probably the best non stripes strip ever. I’ve always said if we have to go for something that isn’t stripes, I fancy a copy of the usual Vasco da Gama strip. White top with a diagonal black sash. Black or white shorts. Not fussed, both would look good. White socks.

The current Hearts team got relegated. I’m willing to give Ricky the benefit of the doubt and say that he meant that Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts are (in theory) the next biggest clubs in Scotland resource wise, and therefore the most likely to be capable of competing at a higher level on a consistent basis.

As someone living a plane flight away from games I would gladly pay the full price of a season ticket to be able to watch all games on telly as long as it was normal Sky/BT quality pictures. If it was SMTV quality, no chance.
