  1. Agree with the majority of your post but the point about Sevco’s fan base is daft. They only had 3200 at our ground because that’s all they could have. I’m willing to bet there was mibbes one or two wee gaps in the home and away ends at Hamilton v Livi. Like you say though. All down to the way the clubs are run.
  2. I agree. I wouldn’t agree if we were playing Celtic. We were at our best against them when we were taking the game to them in the first half. Successfully sitting back in the second half was mainly down to them having 10 men. However, The Rangers are rubbish at breaking down a stuffy defence, as proven last week against Aberdeen. Only flaw in the plan might be that we’re no a stuffy defence.
  3. Hmmmm. We didnae exactly take advantage of it on Wednesday night! Fortunately I’ll no see today’s game. At Twickenham . I’ve asked the wife to record it, but I reckon the chances of it getting watched are slim to none.
  4. He displayed more skill and elegance than any of our players last night.
  5. Hi mate, Not sure if you went tonight, but if you did, I hope you gave Adam Hammill a lift back to Barnsley. He is honking.
  6. Oh my Lord. How bad was that. Players who deserve special mention for exceptional honkingness have to be Craig Samson, Stephen McGinn, Ryan Flynn, Cammy Smith, Ryan Edwards, Adam Hammill. The rest were completely unremarkable at best. The only tiny microscopic chunk of blue sky was Willock when he came on but I’m really clutching at straws. Anyone saying Flynn’s tackle wasn’t a red needs to see it on telly. It was a totally premeditated, petulant hack at a player who had the timerity to beat him. A straight red every day. Normally I’d be raging with a player for letting his teammates down like that, but given that Flynn is worse than a man short, I’ll let him off as we were marginally better with 10 men. Ferdinand had a look of “how did I end up at this shower of shite?”. I don’t think the shiteness of Dundee is even a factor because (based on this team) it doesn’t matter if we finish second bottom, whoever we play in the play off, will scud us anyway. This mob wouldn’t even compete in the Championship. The way it’s shaping up the mission in January will simply be to sign sufficiently decent players to keep us above Dundee and to make us better than whoever we play in the play off. I think by January anything other than an 11th or 12th place will be impossible.
  7. Thanks chaps. Might consider avoiding the score and watching as live.
  8. Sorry. Lazy twat alert. Cannae be bothered scrolling back through this thread. Did someone say our game tonight is on Alba?
  9. Whilst Miller undoubtedly did play at right back for Rangers, he was never a conventional right back. Miller was very much what was known at the time as a "utility player". The definition of a utility player as we all know, is a player who is capable of being shite in lots of different positions.
  10. I always though Liverpool was the more Kafflicky of the two Liverpool teams. Everton were always the more right wing making them more Rangersy. Christ, relatively speaking it wasn’t that long ago they stopped singing “Everton are white”.
  11. Blimey! I'd never have said Munro but looking again now I think you are right. Who's the other Celtic player. Even looking at their team on Shull's link I'm struggling. There I few I know it definitely isn't. The only Celtic player on their team sheet I don't remember is "Joe Filippi". Maybe it's him.
  12. Thought it was. I cannae make out the players other than Stark.
  13. I think it’s important that you clarify which ones are oranges and which ones are chimps. I don’t mind being an orange, but I don’t want to be a chimp. Then again chimps are cute and clever (like me) and orange is a bit Rangersy. Oh now I’m all confused. I need a drink.
  14. Aye but you know what it’s like Shull. They start on the lollipops and before you know it, they’re depressed, slobbering, alkie skagmonsters.
  15. Can you imagine if Stubbs had said "McGennis"? .............fecking carnage.
  16. Dunno but every time I read the thread title, it makes me think of the song Windmills of my Mind.
  17. IF that is true, it’s f**king depressing.
  18. I suspect that Ricky will say volunteers give of their time rather than their money. As opposed to armchair fans who give of hee haw other than perhaps their emotions. I must confess that historically I’ve always subscribed to the same viewpoint as Ricky, albeit that some of the responses on this thread have caused me to challenge that view. You are of course right that there is no real requirement to label anyone, although I’m not really sure that’s what Ricky was trying to do, more merely to point out that in his view there is a difference between the two words. Crucially though, he made it absolutely clear that he wasn’t suggesting one was more important than the other, a fact which some on the thread (not you) have deliberately chosen to ignore in order to be able to have yet another go at him.
  19. I always cadged a lift over, but my pocket money did get spent on a fritter supper from Cosmo’s.
  20. Nope. A quick check suggests Rougvie wasn’t even playing that day. http://www.stmirrenprogrammes.co.uk/StMirren/STM_Match_Details.php?Season=1977&GameID=197710080 Don’t ever remember Sullivan getting capped but wouldn’t swear to it.
  21. Doug Rougvie isn’t in that picture. The guy in the background is Drew Jarvie surely? And the other Aberdeen player is Dom Sullivan (looking incredibly like Peter Weir which I’d never really thought about before).
  22. No you wouldn’t. You would HAVE GONE bald too.
