  1. Aye. I think Ange looked about as pissed off after our game as you ever see him get. He’s normally very good at keeping his emotions in check both ways. So I think Celtic will go out to murder Hibs.
  2. Agreed. Motherwell went through a terrible spell under Hammill that saw him get his jotters. However, their record since Kettlewell came in has been pretty impressive for the most part. I was certainly glad we didn’t have to play them again this season.
  3. That is a quite hilarious take on something that happens all the time in football. if our goalie never saved penalties we wouldn’t have had an away tie against Celtic. Aye bang on. Shame on us for having such a good keeper. And maybe if our players weren’t as good as the Dundee players we might have lost the game and it might not even have gone to penalties in the first place. And maybe if my Auntie Betty had a set of clackers she’d be my Uncle Tam. Desperate, desperate stuff. 🤣
  4. That depends who you believe? Me, I’ll judge based on on field activities and words and numbers in a set of accounts, not the gossip of a bunch of sweetie wives on a football forum.
  5. Aw come on, we’re a far cry from those days! As for redundancies, no one likes to see people lose their job but in efficient businesses that keep themselves lean, this is a regrettable fact of life.
  6. So are you saying our board shouldn't take risks and just settle for trying to stay in the league every season? Any business that avoids taking risks will never achieve anything. Because I know you I'm sure it's not what you mean, but your logic suggests the board is damned if they do and damned if they don't.
  7. I totally agree with the long term thing AB, but I think the most convincing aspect is your last paragraph. That is in my opinion an immediate, tangible benefit to the decision. Bazil might say those increases would’ve happened anyway and we can’t refute that (even though history would suggest it not to be the case.), but I like you think the two things are directly related.
  8. Hmmmm. To be fair Bazil, the only times I’ve seen you admit you were wrong have been (such as the example you give) when actual fact has proven you wrong. And there’s nothing wrong with predicting something that doesn’t happen. That happens all the time and is why bookies are millionaires. Don’t think I’ve seen you concede in the face of simply overwhelming evidence (but not fact) or when you are the only person in the room that holds that view i.e. sometimes you just have to think…can everyone else really be wrong and I’m right? A good example for me would be the two stands for the OF debate. I think you’ve been firmly proven wrong on that one, but I haven’t seen you admit it. N.B. That is not an invitation to start that debate again!! 🤣🤣 Disclaimer - Apologies if I’ve got mistaken identity on that one.
  9. Well I’m definitely one of them. I make an erse of myself on here on a regular basis 🤣
  10. Can we just confirm you’ll only be going to the away leg? 😀 And even then, only if me and PS pay for your bus fare and match ticket?
  11. Ok so I’m going to deviate from popular thought on here. I think @bazil85 is a good St. Mirren fan first and foremost. I only have two issues with his content on here. 1) Once he forms an opinion on something he becomes entrenched in it and is singularly incapable of admitting that he is (or even just might be) wrong, even in the face of evidence or at least unanimous thought to the contrary. He will probably say that’s strength of character. I say it’s just not being able to admit when you’re wrong. 2) He is equally incapable of letting anything go and must have the last word at all times. HOWEVER, give me his incessantly positive pro club/team pish every time over the incessantly negative anti club/team pish of countless other posters.
  12. Amazing concept I know, but it’s a theory I believe in 👍
  13. This has got to be up there in at least the top 5 most boring threads in the history of BAWA and there’s been some meaty competition over the years.
  14. Think both of you are struggling to grapple with the definition of hypothetical. No matter what happens tomorrow, it won’t change the fact that today it’s hypothetical.
  15. Am I the only one that thinks O'Hara's goal against Rangers was better than the one nominated?
  16. Got tickets. Restricted view obvs. Just hope I don’t end up wanting the view to be even more restricted!! 😩
  17. What a f**king clown!! An experienced player like that too.
  18. What the actual f**k is wrong with Fraser today. Has he got a bet on Hibs??
  19. We’re so bad it’s almost comical. Absolute shambles.
