    HT 1-0

Fair reflection, been a pretty routine half so far. Goal was well taken by Reilly, took a couple of touches then smashed it home from close range. Stelios then hit the bar with a long range effort.

All good and with United losing it’s even better. As the other night showed us though, need that second goal.

    Routine?

After an untidy first 5 or 10 minutes, we’ve absolutely destroyed them!

As is too often the case though, we’re failing to finish things off which is always a worry.

    THE MANAGER : John Robertson

“It doesn’t matter if you’re playing Brechin City, who are bottom of the table, or if you’re playing St Mirren, who are top, the points are vital. In this league, on any given day, any team can beat any other team and that’s what we’ve got to be prepared to do.”

“We’ve played really well against St Mirren in both matches, we’ve lost both but yet, we were the better side for large sways of the game. What we’ve got to do is get points, our aim is to go to Paisley, win the game and get three points.”

“If we get them then that’s great but if we don’t, we reassess for Falkirk on the following Tuesday. It’s just about amassing as many points as we possibly can, and all the other teams will be the same.”

    Large “sways” of the game?

Do you think he meant swathes?

    Illiterate wee chubby bampot!

I was switching channels tonight and noticed that red button English commentary was available on.alba for the Edinburgh rugby game - was it available for the Morton game? I didn't notice it if it was?

    I’m pretty sure it isn’t.

Always wondered why S4C are always able to have it but Alba aren’t.

Is S4C independent? If so it’s probably a budget thing.

I doubt anybody on here KNOWS this, that's my main point.

That is true. It’s all speculation, although I think we can all make a fair assumption that they’re not rolling in it.

I personally couldnae care less. We’ll gub them regardless of how much they spend. It’s not all about spending money anyway. It’s about buying the right players. And I trust JR to do that almost regardless of our resoective budgets.

This clueless whining about United supposedly paying guys a "fortune" are pointless.

Doesn't anybody think Brechin could be wailing about what we "supposedly" pay our players?

Those in the know say Sutton is on big money, is that an issue?

What if we sign a couple of decent players, and pay decent money, are we bad?

We should concentrate on our own club, stop spending so much time with pointless speculation.

Totally agree with the above but isn’t the whining more about Utd spending money they don’t have, rather than just spending money.

Working out quite well for you, isn’t it emoji23.png

Ha ha. Well to be honest I’ll take Darren MacGregor to Rangers and Bobo abd McNamee to Blackburn but I’m no having any othe others.

I said you’d need to go back to McAvennie, so Steve Clarke to Chelsea must’ve been only a year or two later.

So to revisit my original statement. Since the time of McAvennie(ish) only the twins have gone to a significant club. I could also point out that when MacGregor went to Rangers they weren’t a significant club (arguably still aren’t!).

And to finish my point......what did the Romans ever do for us??

  7. It seems like an incredible stat but it isn’t really. Other than Ian Ferguson I can’t think of another player who went to Rangers either. In fact, I’d say you’d need to go back to McAvennie to West Ham, to find a Saints player who went to any club of any note.

Cue some smart arse now providing any number of examples to ridicule the above statement! :D

For me if LM is to leave in January, Celtic would have to up their bid to no less than seven figures cash and a hefty sell on. He's that important. If not let his contract run down and take the comp. The comp value would be the same as Celtic are offering for buy and loan back anyway.

This is very much my view.

Worth worrying about or a load of pish?

Sureky you’ve got tae laugh at that on so many levels. One, that losing Jonny Hayes is in any way shape or form a blow to Celtic seein as the poor bassturt never gets a game, or that the arrival of Mark Hill (??) or Jack Aitchison (??) both AKA “who the f**kin hell or you” would in any way replace Lewis Morgan at St. Mirren.

Fair comment Bud, but he's certainly not reeled me in.

I find  his username interesting, Elvis groomed Priscilla when she was 14, Elvis himself was 24 at the time, so Elvis is a fat burger munching peodphile.

Suits you Elvis, you're definitely one to watch ya weirdo

You’ve clearly been topping up from last night me old mucker!

That’s not to say that your posts aren’t whollly accurate though!

Wonder if we might have a wee word with Falkirk about getting Rory Loy on loan for second half of the season?

Still can't believe he left the St Mirren dressing room for Falkirk after he witnessed in second part of season. Assume they must have offered better terms, possibly closer to his home and maybe an emotional attachment to Falkirk in some way from his time there in the past.

We can't afford to pay a tranfer fee and match his wages but could take him on loan and pay his wages which would be high but when Reilly is missing we don't have too many other striking options.

    No thanks Mr. Zo.

Don’t want him anywhere this team. He nailed his colours to the mast.

I never thought he was that good anyway. He scored a couple of important goals for us but generally I thought he was very average and benefited from being part of a resurgent team.
