I have grown up with a duopoly taking turns winning the top league in Scotland every year. I personally don't remember the 1986 scenario but have been told about it by older family members, read about it and seen footage from the time, especially in the lead up to this weekend. You said you didn't want Heart of Midlothian FC to win the league. They were only one of two teams who, going into this weekend, could possibly win it. If you don't want Hearts to win it, then there's only one "acceptable" outcome for you then. I'm personally sick of all of the baggage, arrogance and intolerance that is attached to the Green Vermin Scum FC, the Blue Vermin Scum FC and the "scenes" at Full-Time, encouraged by their players and staff trackside, not to mention what they'll probably do to the city centre of their "dear green place", show why we need a new champion of the top league in Scotland. I don't know why any Saints fan would be happy to see the Eastenders and Southsiders of Glasgow winning the league. F**k 'em and all who sail in them. Anyway, you'll be happy Heart of Midlothian didn't win the league, enjoy your Magners tonight.

We didn't really need confirmation by the Paisley Daily Express that these two posters and so called "supporters" are trolls but it just makes it all the more official now.

To say I'm disappointed with a small number of my so called "fellow supporters" would be an understatement. The accusations and abuse given to Ryan Mullen on Sunday and the days since were totally out of order and from people happy to take potshots at other people from the safety of their own bunker, or more than likely from their Mum's attic. The fact that Shamal George and Alex Gogić felt they had to publish statements publicly backing Ryan Mullen and correctly pointing out the "potshot bunker boys" were totally in the wrong and obviously didn't have a clue what they were talking about, speaks more about where we find ourselves as a society. What I've read on here, Pie & Bovril and elsewhere is a disgrace to the good name of St. Mirren Football Club. Such folk are not welcome at St. Mirren Park, should never be tolerated and allowed to slander the good names of people associated with the club. If they want to behave in this manner, there are two other clubs in particular where they'd feel most welcome.

I realise this particular weekend is all about resurrection but a matchday thread from three weeks ago, really? Clearly someone has way too much time on his/her hands.

The First-Half performance made me forget all about the rain and wind. The players were playing very well with some fast paced passing and playing decent football. I appreciate what Stephen Robinson did for us and what he helped us achieve but Craig McLeish has got us playing some good stuff. It's good to have Stuart Taylor back in Paisley, a man who has a good reputation in the game. I was nervous that all the opportunities we weren't taking would come back to haunt us but we got our well deserved Half-Time lead thanks to big Jonah Ayunga. A great piece of solo skill to beat two Aberdeen players and set himself up for a tremendous finish. I'm very pleased to see him back. The Second-Half wasn't as enjoyable as the first, with us sitting back a bit more and Aberdeen enjoying a lot more possession but creating very little with it. Shamal George wasn't troubled too much either. Alex Gogić's goal from a great Scott Tanser cross was superb as well. It reminded me of a header he scored for us into the same net infront of the Family Stand early into his time at Saints. It's always great to beat that mob. They really are a deluded set of supporters, thinking their club are something special and too good a club to be losing to the likes of St. Mirren. Up 'em.

Do you practice hard at being a wanker or does it cum [sic] naturally to you?

It's going to be yet another "Cruel Summer" in my opinion. Scotland often struggle in friendly matches or if the players have nothing to play for. There's always a last ten minutes rally to get a goal to salvage a draw or make the score look better but on the whole these games are turgid affairs.

Ha, ha, ha! Sandro Tonali and his teammates got beat to give Italy the unwelcome title of becoming the first previous FIFA World Cup winners to fail to qualify for three consecutive World Cups. Lovely stuff.

I watched Italy v Northern Ireland and it wasn't much better. I like Newcastle United but Sandro Tonali is one of the worst culprits for cheating and diving. In the First-Half tonight, he went down holding his face making out a Northern Ireland player had struck him in the face which never happened. The referee told Northern Ireland to keep playing, Signore Tonali stayed down until he realised Northern Ireland were breaking forward and I saw him at the top of the screen jumping up and running back to help his teammates. Despicable and disgraceful. Association Football is broken and it gets worse with every passing year and every new generation with charlatans like Tonali, Callum "Ratbag" Slattery and many, many others.

We got a victory against Falkirk at the Falkirk Stadium which a lot of people wouldn't have expected us to have got given how this season has gone for both clubs. Aberdeen FC, as is the norm in recent years, lost once again in Glasgow. This is a big match for both clubs. Both need a win to keep away from the play-off against the Championship team and we'll have Mr. Stephen Robinson coming to visit us as Aberdeen manager. Let's get behind the players and whatever management team we have in place and send our former Mr. Robinson back up the road with "nul point". Come on you Saints!

It's just a shame some people on here can't just enjoy a win without attacking and abusing other supporters. Still, that's just par for the course on here these days.

A good win against a team that have done extremely well since coming up from the Championship. My 4-5 prediction was tongue in cheek but it's all about getting victories between now and the end of the season then we can reset in the summer. Well done Saints, management and players.
