People are talking as if the season will be June, July & August. Our season starts in August and runs until May - that's 10 months. All that would change is no football in December & January yet February is often a bugger. Needs a lot of thought. If the solution is two games a week in the summer months then the divorce courts will be busy and lots of kids will miss out on holidays.

What's it got to do with the board? It's the manager's job to select the playing staff not the board, not the general manager - the manager. He only started this morning and he has to be allowed to select the players he puts on the pitch. I would love to see Thommo manage another season as a player but I respect the mamager's right to pick the team and If he thinks he thinks he can do the job I'll be happy. Same for Goodwin and Teale. But for a board to apoint a manager and then tell him he has to have their pick of players is a non-starter - that way madness lies?

Has anybody considered that the hotel / parking project proposed by the potential bidders may have no tie-in to the club? Perhaps their interest is not the club but access to the facilities they require to complete their project. I don't see these people as benevolent, looking to make money on a hotel / parking business just to plough it into a loss making business like a football club. Any cash benefit to the running of the club will be minimal - or do I mean miniscule?
