I’ve skipped about four pages here so apologies if this has been covered and answered.
An incident took place during which , a Dundee united fan was injured , of that we are sure . Right ?
The powers at be ,for whatever reason , chose to take that fan and as far as I can gather , at least two accompanying friends along the front of the North stand and into an area occupied by a group of Saints fans who have been warned about their behaviour as a group previously , various individuals  served with bans, warnings and increased police and stewarding and out through that section.
Question is this, given that this sequence of events which unfolded ,it must have taken some time to carry out this procedure, surely the match commander , head steward, club official should have anticipated some issues, and employed more personnel to counter any such issues and to also “Zoom in “ our state of the art cctv to catch any offenders red handed or slabber mouthed as the case may be ?
If not , I would be asking very serious questions of said officials and their ability to officiate, police / steward and a football match.
footnote. If any fan has been doing what has been alleged , we cannot defend them and they must be banned , but there are so many holes in the whole saga you could drive a double decker through them .

I don't expect Hibs or Celtic to try and come up with some dastardly plan to fuck us over, but there is certainly a possibility that Allan could be involved in the deal which would have an impact on us.
End of the day though the opening bid is £1.5m, which they've rejected. Stay cool!

Whilst I understand a business (financial) decision has been made.
I think GLS has missed a trick here.

Last season, he challenged the support to keep the West Stand if x amount of Season ticket were sold for it.

He could have done the same now

If we sell x for the west stand and x for the south stand, the north stand only will be given to away supports (all of them)
And challenged us to keep rankers & septic fans out of the family stand.

Or we’re playing great football, having a successful season and have to turn away our own support to accommodate the Old Firm.

Spending more doesn’t guarantee quality - I still remember Mo Camara!

    Agreed.
It would have been relatively straightforward to consult SMiSA members and ST holders. Out of courtesy if nothing else.

Many of this forums most prominent posters don't give a horse's cock about the team's performance.
Egotistical "look-at-me" post-builders have taken over this site and former regular contributors have withdrawn from here altogether.
    Empty vessels / most noise.

Like the vast majority of St.Mirren fans I just leave the day to day running of the club to the directors and those employed to carry out duties for the club.
I can't imagine for the life of me what the motive would be behind someone "investigating" a new shirt sponsor and starting to post pictures of directors of that company and ridiculing them on a supporters website the very day they have announced a significant sponsorship deal with the club.
Then we have riddled statements suggesting Gordon doesn't have a binding agreement to sell to SMiSA, we get posts suggesting the SMiSA AGM will be rocky.
All of this coming just over 24 hours before one of the biggest games in the history of the club.
Why would anyone want to start all this now?
Where were all the protests these last few years about JD Sports involvement with the club? A company that was branded "a sweatshop" on national television and widely criticised for it's working conditions for employees?
The investment from Skyview should be warmly received. This ain't some rockets trying to muscle in and buy the club, in actual fact the link between them and Saints comes from a local Saints supporter who Stewart Gilmour has confirmed on twitter "has been around many years".
This is a nothing attempt to gain airtime because of some friction in SMiSA which has led to Lord Pity Me leaving the board.
I couldn't care less about that right now but that is why this thread is where it is and where it will remain.
Concentrate on the football and this sort of utter shite can wait until after the season is over.

I think left midfield in the three is an ideal role for Stelios. He's got the pace and the skill to beat a man and he can pick out a pass.
Might not have the finishing ability of Morgan but we've plenty of players in the team that can score goals.
Really liked the movement of Smith & Loy up front on Saturday, they tore Ayr to bits and I see no reason why they won't do the same to Dumbarton.

You missed my question thread in the SMISA section of this forum then. Not to worry, maybe you didn't know there is a SMISA section or you missed the tweets. Either way, the important thing is that we had a properly contested election.

Folk can claim they get their news elsewhere but when it comes to factual stuff (folk definitely signing as opposed to rumours, which a club website obviously can't report) chances are the news will have originated there - Sunday night's sackings being a case in point.
I agree it could do with more interviews etc with players and the manager although I see there's been a few more pieces with members of the playing squad this season. There'd be plenty more on the site if the club invested properly in the media/communications/PR side of the club but, like many areas, it's woefully under resourced.

    Another quite long post….
AnyBuddie that signs up for this club buy-out is simply stupid and naive.
It’s like asking people to mend a tiny leak in the bottom of a dinghy just as a Tsunami is about to hit. Worse – water is already swilling round the necks of every club in Scottish football. The waters of corruption, that is. And the corruption is always ignored by the complicit media, always has been.
The Bigot brothers conspired a few years ago to ensure they didn’t share their home gates and, since then, Scottish Football has been played upon a steadily more uneven, distorted and biased playing field. The wee diddy clubs just don’t stand a chance. I can see no future possibility in clubs other than the Bigots, succeeding with their tainted funding… and the connivance of the media.
As the gap between the Bigots and the diddy clubs grew, everyBuddie bitched about it but our various club owners have always been complicit, knowing what was happening, always ready to snatch crumbs from the Bigot table… all the while scrambling to keep up by throwing unsustainable dosh at fancy players, money that the diddy fan population just could not sustain. No wonder there have been so many financial calamities and bail-outs. shull has always had a valid point. Sigh.
The corruption continues with regard to the disgusting ongoing Sevco farce. The SFA and its officers are appointed by ALL the clubs, yet the infamous five-way agreement to fabricate an entirely new club in the bottom league was allowed to be pushed through – despite the angry misgivings of a very few honest men such as Turnbull Hutton.
(As an aside, it has been hugely impressive how Agents Regan and Doncaster have so comprehensively emasculated and shafted Scottish Football governance and, as by-product, have overseen years of the Scottish national team bouncing along the bottom… In due course, doubtless they’ll be rewarded by the Palace. I’m amazed the Nationalists haven’t seen through THAT one…)
How can it be that two Directors (one a convicted criminal)... from the days in which Rangers went into liquidation, owing millions to creditors and society... could now be heavily involved in shiny, new look-alike companies - Rangers International FC and The Rangers - aka Sevco… and be allowed to continue to exploit the unbelievably trusting fans.
And the Scottish Mainstream Sporting Media never ask questions, never challenge the corruption, won’t even discuss the FACT that it is an entirely new club with dubious origins - but claiming to be the same extinct club! Just not keen on claiming its debts...
(As another aside, when div posted on here that he thought the whole sevco name thing was tedious – that was when I no longer wanted to participate in THIS Media outlet. It’s his baw, his game and I respect what he has provided.)
Now, I don’t care about those Sevco fans.
I do care about Buddies. Why throw money at the leaking dinghy in the Tsunami?
Aye, I understand why it would be better to have some form of fan ownership. I appreciate GLS putting his head above the parapet and am minded to believe he is genuinely one of us. Listening to Alex Rae (despite his fitba affiliations), he has convinced me that he shares a genuine, honest passion for fitba that just might be able to thrive – even in the corrupt cesspool of Scottish fitba.
Maybe, just maybe, honesty and transparency will someday (soon) afflict the Scottish game. And, out of love for many Buddies, I want our Town and its team to be at the forefront.
So that’s why I HAVE bought in to SMISA’s initiative.
Call me stupid, call me naïve…
    Join me.
Go on. It's a heart thing. You know it makes no sense.
