  1. Can't vouch for the other 3 but the Talking Heads and Massive Attack albums are top notch. Mezzanine is without doubt MA's best work, but I'm looking forward to the new album, anyone any idea when it's out? My Top 5 is as follows: Massive Attack - Evelen Promos (DVD) Royksopp - The Understanding Belle & Sebastian - The Life Pursuit Love & Money - Strange Kind Of Love Arctic Monkeys - Whatever...
  2. Ride's albums have just be re-released as far as I'm aware. Had been listening to a band called Amusement Parks on Fire which really reminded me of Ride and got me listening to them again. "Taste" is an absolute classic and IMO as good as anything Stone Roses, James or Inspiral Carpets did at the time. You can't knock Hue & Cry...Pat Kane has a voice like velvet. Saw them recently at ABC in Glasgow. They were on good form. Mocky is a laid back Canadian rapper. I only have this one single. Bought it after hearing it on MTV2's 120 Minutes.
  3. Ride - Nowhere Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life Goldfrapp - Supernature Hue & Cry - Jazz Not Jazz Mocky - Catch A Moment In Time (cd single)
  4. I'm glad I've surprised you. I wish I had heard Down the Dip in Cafe B some time. I would have belted it out with you. Sorry I missed that. Maybe if we win the league I'll meet you out in the town amongst the celebrations and we can both have a go when we are rat-@rsed PS. I thought we had user names in order to remain anonymous GREIG.
  5. Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger Bloc Party - Silent Alarm Editors - The Back Room Nine Black Alps - Everything Is Hard-Fi - Stars of CCTV
  6. Quality selection Aber. High Land Hard Rain is my favourite album of all time...it's just wonderful.
  7. I seem to have posted an almost identical message to yours on General Nonsense. Should have read this first I suppose. Totally agree with you 100%. Believe the hype. My top 5 currently. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever people say... Ladytron - Witching Hour Joy Division - Substance 1977-1980 Kanye West - Late Registration Win - Uh! Tears Baby
  8. Craig Armstrong - The Space Between Us Amusement Parks On Fire - Amusement Parks On Fire Nine Black Alps - Everything Is Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger Shamen - Phorward
  9. New week. Saints in 1st division. I've just helped us from 13th to 3rd over lunchtime but I have to get back to work now. We need others to start playing now and keep us up there. Come On Buds, get us back in the top league and maybe a crack at Europe. http://www.playforyourclub.com/play.php
  10. Was it not the programme "Laugh? I nearly paid my licence fee!" that featured Mason Boyne? I'm not sure but I remember seeing it. Was his daughter not called Orangina? Back to the topic. After reding the thread about top five Scottish songs, I'm listening to Strange Kind Of Love by Love and Money...pure class.
  11. Big Country - In A Big Country Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - Forest Fire Craig Armstrong Feat. Elizabeth Fraser - This Love Hipsway - Forbidden Love & Money - Hallelujah Man
  12. Have to disagree with that I'm afraid. Some of my favourite U2 tracks are on Achtung Baby and Zooropa. IMO they lost it more recently on their last couple of albums when they tried to recreate the music they were making in the 80's. New Order, sadly, will have to be put on that list. As much as I wanted "Waiting for the sirens call" to be brilliant, it just isn't. I saw the tv footage of Glastonbury and that looked poor too.
  13. Can anyone explain how you merge pictures to create a banner in Photoshop, like the B&W army banner at the top of the page?
