  1. anyone else fear the worst with Goodie chasing the lad into the corner there?
  2. Remember a Lavety screamer down at Ayr which I think was in the promotion season. Fantastic goal that always sticks out alongside Shuggies keepie ups
  3. Born in 1990 so my team will reflect that Hinchcliffe (better than ludo if not loved as much) Broadfoot (stepovers out of defence. Leadership in relagation battle) Walker (remember him scoring a few in Hendrie season) McGregor (loves a header or last ditch challenge) Nicolson (soo many assists in Hendrie season) McGinn ( so much potential yet already our best player) Murray (never seen him lose a header despite his size, scored that goal and had more heart than anyone I've seen play for St. mirren) Dorman (lazy sod knew when to spring into action and get infront of the forwards) Thompson (need I say more) Lavety ( so much talent, a waster who still contributed a lot. Always remember his goal down at Ayr in 99 season) Higdon (just knew where the net was whether he was 4 or 40yards out)
  4. Having seen it on Alba I actually believe that was quite a bad tackle. He didn't need to go in for that and he has caught Thomson late there. A yellow at the very least.
  5. Laughable from the BBC as per. Hibs are still ahead of Killie as well as Paul McLean being non-existent.
  6. Was it yourself I remember posting once upon a time to say that you put £10 on every Spl game to be a draw each week? If so I was just thinking that would you be in the a bit richer before that late Killie goal. I often do the same and was heartbroken thinking I hadn't this week.
  7. Because we are short of cash after paying off said players. Shambles.
  8. One high earner for another then? Where are the funds and wages from Mair, Barron etc. Seems to me that most of budget is being spent on payouts to get rid of players
  9. Worrying the move seemingly depends on movement out of Saints. Whilst this does not surprise me it is a little concerning...
  10. We are apparently in talks to sign Morgaro Gomis from United although the transfer is apparently dependant on other moves. Information coming straight from the player...
  11. Last of the 2010 League Cup final team gone. Will always remember his screamer which hit the bar that day. Best wishes to a lad who seemed promising but never really progressed or nailed down a position. Probably partly due to the fact he could play in so many positions before his long term injuries. In all honesty he was probably never good enough for the top division but he always seemed up for a battle and made some tremendous tackles in his time. Frees up space for new players maybe
  12. Give him a fine and some community based football work so that he can give back to the community. Might as well put his small skill set to use. He has never gave the impression he has 2 brain cells to rub together and that added to his questionable celtic background means this comes as no surprise
  13. Living in Dundee I don't think I will be able to show my face all week. That is the worst I have ever seen St. Mirren play in the Premier League. Going forward every player was devoid of ideas with the exception of McLean. McGinn's crossing was woeful, Thompson never chased anything that wasn't within 5 yards of him and McGowan never plays well when those around him are having a mare. The game passed Goodwin by. So many times the Utd midfield walked by our whole midfield without a challenge going in. The defence never knew whether to step out and attack the ball or player due to the huge gap in front of them and that left Utd with a huge space in which to pick us off from whether that be in front of, or behind the back 4. The subs summed up our lack of options going forward. Caprice is a terrible footballer. One promising break away all he had to do was go towards the ball and he had a clear run but instead he waited on it and the Utd player intercepted. Any other time he had the ball he attempted a step over and then lost the ball. The subs also resulted in Kenny McLean playing the holding role after looking like the only player we had to unlock Utd the full game. Lennon left the bench once in the 2nd half. Surely when the team is struggling the manager has to be out there, willing the players to close down the opposition and chase down lost causes. You can't do anything from the back of the bench. Time up....
  14. I agree. Cheesy and McGregor can't play together and Goodwin is needed in midfield unless we actually sign a defensive minded midfield. Mair is our best defender.
