However, the Scottish Government last night appeared to contradict their consultation.
In a statement, a spokesman said prawn crackers and poppadoms could be seen as part of “main meals”.
The spokesman said: “We’re not looking to make restrictions in relation to main meals and it is not our intention to restrict restaurants from including savoury foods, such as prawn crackers or poppadoms, as part of meals.”

Yes, there was. It was also at Motherwell. I think we prevailed in that game too. Was it maybe the match that Dorman scored a 30 yard looper with the outside of his boot?

In fairness, the current BoD have made one (very) poor appointment.
The measure of any organisation - and any individual - is the extent to which they learn from their mistakes. This has been a sorry, embarrassing, and expensive episode, and I expect the BoD to learn from it and kick on.
I back their decision to bag Stubbs 100%. They acted swiftly and decisively, and deserve credit for that. The next decision is absolutely critical, and we all need to hope that they call it correctly also.
We need a leader in who can lift the players and the support. Probably someone who is a big character, but not just all about platitudes and empty gestures. Someone of substance to galvanise the club.
It won't be a straightforward process finding someone who fits the bill, but they have managed it before, so we need to hope that they can do so again.
The roller-coaster ride continues, but at least the bolts on the wheels of the carriage have been tightened.

The embarrassment of being the only team to lose a league game to Sevco this season probably pushed GLS over the edge,

Keep reading how Stubbs has dismantled the championship winning side.
In reality, JR left Stubbs with 1 fit defender from last season's side - Jack Baird. And he wasn't even first choice!
Stubbs has been left o completely rebuild the defence.
In addition, we also lost our best player by a mile, Lewis Morgan. Without him, we had a mid table Championship squad.
We also managed to win the league despite our main striker only scoring 11 goals.
No defence, no best player and no striker capable to scoring goals in the Premiership. Its more or less had to be a complete rebuild job that Stubbs has been left with.
Problem is though, that most of the guys that Stubbs has signed just aren't up to it.....

I've been generally trying to avoid this thread, as I have a real gut feeling that this whole scenario stinks.
Whether I'm being remotely reasonable or rational is moot, but I think it will be to the ultimate detriment of the club.
Families are getting shunted and shafted for this, and that means kids, the lifeblood of our club's future.  This is going to be a tough season, so I think the club should be doing everything it can to ensure that it isn't an easy decision for folk to opt to stay away. When people stay away, it is more likely that they won't bother coming back.
As I say, I reckon it stinks. It stinks of short-termism.  I very much hope I'm well off the mark.

I have no emotional attachment to the ground, it is a functional place in which to watch St Mirren play football. I simply bracket it with McDiarmid, Tony Macaroni, Airdrie or Falkirk. Places to watch your team, with turnstiles, seats, toilets and pie stands etc.
Love Street was a dump, but it was a dump with over 100 years of history, and that means something.

It was only a matter of time until some knobend thought it would be a good idea to sponsor bloody corner kicks by flashing up their company logo on the scoreboard every time one is awarded. Who was it?

A friend of mine of many years, has a season ticket for himself & 2 kids for Firhill.
Following renewal (Yes,  we know they got relegated!) - They received a call from Chris Erskine (Capt) & another player to thank them for their support!
I thought that was brilliant & a good display of keeping fans on board. (Made a kids day I would expect)

Should other clubs (Ours??) try a similar approach?
