We might need to write this season off as a survival shitfest.

I imagine GLS has Gus MacPherson on speed-dial, and might just make a call....

Whoever comes in now will need to galvanise the squad first and foremost. Free flowing, creative football might be a secondary consideration (even if we had the players for that).

    Fingers crossed.

Not the long term solution but I’d be confident of Premiership survival with Gus in the dugout til the end of the season.

Very simplistic point of view, I think you are just playing to the gallery here.

The organisation of the team has been very poor from the start, players have ;iterally been running in to each other, being caught out of position etc etc. Going in and dealing with Stubbs and Jackson every day obviously became demoralising.

There is a difference between being demoralised, losing confidence etc and purposefully not trying your best.

You don't appoint Darren Jackson and then expect to have a motivated squad.

    The poor souls.

I’m not pointing the finger at all of the players but certain ones clearly weren’t interested in playing for Stubbs and their performances reflected this.

Or we can employ a manager that understands the basic of man management.

I’m sorry but there’s no excuse for not giving 100% out on the pitch and that’s what we’ve been getting.

It doesn’t matter who the manager is, what the tactics are, who’s playing centre half, what one of your team mates have been dropped, who’s face doesn’t fit. No excuse for the level of commitment given so far this season.

Saturday was much better from certain individuals and I suspect some players were already made aware of the intent to sack Stubbs.

Just hope they approve of the replacement or we’re really f**ked. In fact, might be an idea to let them hand pick the new manager.

  4. If McIntyre comes in it's important that we give him a chance and don't expect immediate results. We need to be patient.

He started at County after the early season sacking of Derek Adams, taking charge on 9th September. He then went on to win only 2 out of his first 19 games in charge and managed to avoid relegation finishing 9th.

Hopefully he can make a more immediate impact but change doesn't happen overnight.

Killie are being backed by Billy Bowie, too.

Danny Lennon got us 7th and a national trophy with a smaller budget than McIntyre.

Motherwell shipped 51 players out in the same 3 year period, St Johnstone 43,  Hamilton 45,  Aberdeen 57.

Killie are being run by Billy Bowie, not bank rolled by Billy Bowie and they have a strict wage cap in place.

Danny Lennon didn't lead us to 7th, it was 8th which was fantastic.

McIntyre had a much smaller budget than you are making out, here is the average wage in the Premiership in 2016.

    • Celtic £717,860
    • Rangers £316,888
    • Aberdeen £134,670
    • Hearts £86,890
    • Dundee £61,837
    • Inverness £53,345
    • Motherwell £49,335
    • Killie £48,950
    • Ross County £47,515
    • St Johnstone £47,206
    • Partick £42,671
    • Hamilton £42,606

I didn't say the huge upheaval of players yielded immediate results.

The fact is he turned over 49 players over three years in order to stay afloat in the Premiership. He has wasted an incredible amount of money as a manager. We can't afford that.

    Utter nonsense again.

This sort of turnaround is nothing unusual for a 3 year period  (Killie shipped out 70 players in that 3 year period...) and to say they did this simply to stay afloat in the Premiership is way wide of the mark. He led them to a top 6 finish and a national trophy.

If he'd kept them and not been allowed to sign others instead they'd have achieved nothing close to what they did.

Several mid-contract terminations being paid off for players.

Nonsense as they were in 6th position at the end of December 2016 and in 5th position end of December 2015.

This ill informed crap was put to bed in the summer, McGregor didn't bail McIntyre out midseason at all.

My only issue with McIntyre would be the number of duds he signed over his time at RC. No Roy McGregor here to bail him out if the same happens again.

That said, he'd be an upgrade in a tactical sense and would have a better connection with the supporters.

In what way was he bailed out by McGregor?

I'm sure this was discussed in the summer..

Do you remember Cadbury's getting raided occasionally and the culprits dumping the ill gotten gains on the dummy railway? Nobody was allowed to look for fear of a doing. Brings back memories of 5 boys chocolate and chocolate eclairs.

In fairness I might have dreamt this.

I seem to remember having an endless supply of chocolate when I was a kid

    Panini stickers was another...

For me I just can’t believe he was given the deal. GLS might say ‘we made a mistake’ but it’s dumbfounding that anyone can make such a mistake.

I didn’t think he should even of been near the running for the job in the summer and was gobsmacked at the 3 year deal. Surely to god someone would of said to him ‘what the hell are you thinking even suggesting 3 years’

We don’t know the ins and outs of the contract. We don’t know what sort of performance related clauses that could potentially trigger a parting of ways. We don’t know if there’s a probationary period involving maybe a reduced settlement fee.

I don’t think we can criticise GLS too much without knowing what’s involved in the deal.
