  1. Its amazing how all these amateur lawyers know the truth yet the prosecutors and judges who overturned his appeal, who have studied and trained for years and gained so much experience as they have done in their careers to become experts in their job, don't know the truth. If only they had just looked at the accused's website - which must surely be impartial and unbiased whatsoever - they would have found all the evidence they need. Regardless whether any members of the public believe he is guilty or not, the bare facts are that he was found guilty in a court of law, that is the only basis anyone can have. If his case ultimately gets overturned then as has been said, he'll have his pick but until then, I don't see anyone touching hm with a bargepole!
  2. Doubt he gets to make any decisions. And his job title may have changed but he's there for the day to day running of the club, especially now when the board don't seem interested.
  3. Tbf, I go along that road to every home game and I think the OP may just be exaggerating the mess of the pavements by comparing it to shite - I certainly don't remember having to run a gauntlet of big piles of shite, human or otherwise. The pavements are a mess but only around the dip under the bridge that used to get flooded all the time. It doesn't appear to flood anymore but when they fixed that, they should have cleaned up and relaid the pavements aswell. Are pavements similar to potholes in the road, whereby the council doesn't do anything about them until someone complains or puts a claim in?
  4. Unbelievable he actually got a game for the u21s. Obviously was to make sure he could only play for Scotland but I doubt Ukraine were really worrying that he would turn into a superstar.
  5. Cheesy reminds me a lot of Brian smith. Both very similar style of player who get caught out defensively an awful lot. Although when smith played, he played right back in the first team for us but he captained the reserves at centre half and actually looked decent - obviously playing against boys and crocks in the reserve league west. I used to watch a lot of the reserves at that time and I remember him scoring a screamer from 40 yards into the top corner. Tbh that would be getting loads of mentions on the best goal scored thread, if anyone else actually seen if!
  6. As already mentioned, if a player only plays 2-3 games I don't think you can include them in this category - the few games they played for us may have underlying reasons why they were shit. You can only truly judge if a player is REALLY bad once they have played a fair number of games, say 20/half a season. I seem to remember a lot of the coughlin team were truly awful however a lot of them came from lower leagues and we're just punching above their weight with us - e.g. Mark crilly, Robert dunn. But Andy Dow is one who sticks out as being so bad that you genuinely wonder how he managed to look so good playing in the premier league. That guy really was a wage thief for us.
  7. Oh was he. Didn't see him warming up at HT and assumed he wasn't named. The fact three other wingers and Sean kelly on the wing can get a came before him means I think he'll be following Plummer down the road.
  8. No sign of drury on the bench either. Does this mean he's away aswell?
  9. Is it merely an injury that's keeping him out or is there more to it?
  10. Plummer is decent (although his injury hasn't helped) and even though drury has looked a bit powderpuff at times, he is our top scorer and has shown flashes of effectiveness so a bit unfair on those two.
  11. They're both a bit past it, but to be fair a couple of fifty year olds couldn't make our team any worse just now!
  12. Tbh wasn't the only "goodwin" moment from him. I thought the challenge he got booked for could have been a straight red, went straight for the player after he realised he had overhit the ball.
  13. Also a name going about that was present but not involved was imrie.
  14. Was recovering from a bad injury last season.
  15. I always wondered what happened to Kieran doran? Not quite the same thing with Paul McGinn, he came to us after his studies and only left because we wouldn't pay him enough and he didn't get on with Danny. He's obviously not doing it to get a free move to another club. I don't know him but from reports he is a very intelligent guy who always had uni in mind. He was also considered to be a future star and has similarities with John McGinn so you can understand why the club would be a bit annoyed. If he does want to just play uni football or part time, why can the club not just loan him out to a club of their choice for the remainder of his contract? Would be a gesture of goodwill and if he does choose to go back to full time football, it could help persuade him to come back to us. The alternative is to freeze him out and he leaves at the end of his contract anyway - but with zero chance of ever playing for us in the future. It does seem a bit late for him to decide now though to go to uni, the time was obviously when he signed his contract. The club would want to protect the integrity of the contract but there must be some workaround?
  16. One of the few was campbell Kennedy so it has some substance.
  17. At last nights game a few mentioning that we have the budget for and are in talks with a big striker. Whether that be physically big or big name striker (a la McFadden) remains to be seen. We don't however have the budget to sack Craig!
  18. Wasn't really involved that much after he came on. The few times that he was he seemed quick to get rid of the ball, making passes that weren't really on. Looked like goodwin was encouraging him to be more brave on the ball and hold onto it for a bit, but quite clearly a lack of confidence for him. Hopefully being part of our first win of the season will boost his confidence a bit.
  19. TBH I Thought he played so well because Goodwin was beside him. The last couple of games, he's looked very 1 dimensional - pretty good defensively and at destroying attacks but been poor with his distribution. Yesterday Goodwin made sure he was close by so he always had a pass outlet. Playing that way however means we are 1 short up front and it showed so I don't think that way of playing is the solution to our problems.
  20. Yeah because Mendes made such a big difference to Dunfermline that year!
  21. Although he did say he was open to short term deals to put himself in the shop window. He could be the calming influence that can settle cheesy and inspire confidence in our defence, even of it is just until January.
  22. How much time should he get? Until we are relegated just to prove that he couldnt turn it around?
  23. The point is that it's not the first sign of trouble. That's been already, as displayed by Ross County. I still have every faith that this will be turned around in the next few games, but what if it's not? If not buckling at the first sign of trouble then when? The second, third, fourth sign of trouble? There must be a point where enough is enough and the only solution is for a change of management. If this run continues, then when is your breaking point? When do you crumble? Or would you go the full season without scoring a goal just to say you were resilient to the end?
  24. How long can we go on without scoring a goal or gaining a point before TC gets his jotters? Surely there must be a limit to the amount of games the board can give him? It's unfathomable that we will go 5, 6, 7 or more league games without even scoring a goal, so when is it time to say "enough is enough" and TC to leave? And surely TC has enough pride that he has his own limit to how long this run can go on be fore ending the humiliation and chucking it? I'm not trying to start another thread to slate TC, merely pondering what would happen if this miserable run continues. What is the breaking point for the board or TC, it must be getting fairly close? I get the impression that the board aren't wanting to make a quickfire decision, similar to the Gus and Danny situations who were both given time during dificulat runs and not just because they didn't want to save on paying the manager off. We have Killie and Thistle x 2 coming up then Celtic after. If we don't even score in any of these games, never mind get a result, I don't think TC will be here for the St. Johnstone game at the start of October, one way or another - that'll be 7 league games without a goal or a point and out the League Cup, I don't think even the most tolerant Saints fan can put up with that. So how much longer can this run go on before something is done about it? (literally!)
