    Indeed.
He was astounded when I "guessed" what it really stood for.
Although, to be fair, I did have inside info.

£10 off a season ticket will cost the club next to nothing as of the 200 affected ST holders how many of them are kids and not paying to renew their ST?
Here is the chance for the club to put down a marker and get some good publicity and arrange with JD to either give the kids in the Family Stand with ST a free t-shirt or training top or a voucher to get a half price 2016/7 St Mirren top.

I might be in the minority but I really like Langfield, as a player and as a person. Of course he can make the odd error but at our level, that's probably par for the course. I think he's a very good 'keeper and obviously cares deeply for the club.
He gets added points for shouting "JESUS F**K REF!" (or something very similar) rather audibly after another baffling call from Charleston yesterday.

Fair play to the keeper, made a vital save at 1-0 and was a calming influence in claiming crosses. Kicking was decent today too!
Personally I think he has gained us more points than he has lost us.

Those saying meh - who do you really expect us to be signing ? If we sign a U21 striker it's "we need experience" and when we sign experience it's "meh". We are where we are and we can't expect to really be signing anyone with a higher profile in our current position.

Let's face it we could sign Messi and some on here wouldn't be saying meh.

I really should know better in this section of the board in particular but I'll post this anyway.
I got a call a few mins ago from someone in the media asking me if I had heard anything about the proposed sale of the club. I said no.
They told me there was very good information suggesting that English buyer(s) with "strong Scottish connections" had agreed a deal to buy the majority shareholding.
I'm taking this all with a large pinch of salt as I've never had any information from this source before but I'll leave this here anyway in case anyone else has heard similar ?

Talking about bringing back things... For 2017, JD Sports should bring back a version of that kit as a 30th anniversary tribute. All-white with thin back pinstripes and although they cannot use three stripes, just have one or two thin ones down the shorts and around the sock tops. Pretty sure they could even re-create the silver and white shirt. It cannot be an Adidas copyright.
    Fan Council?

With all the criticism levelled at the club since Saturday, I want to buck the trend and say a massive thank you and well done.
My Cousin came to Scotland for his first ever visit in his 49 years.
His Dad, my Uncle Tom died not that long ago. Tom was a great Saints fan and was at the 59 cup final. He emigrated a year later.
My Cousin is spending 6 weeks touring Europe, and although only spending one weekend in this area, the whole trip was scheduled to let him get to Saturdays game.
Unbeknown to my Cous, I contacted Brian Caldwell at short notice and asked if he could help make the visit memorable.
He said to arrive at the stadium at 1pm and he would see what he could do.
We arrived at 1pm to be told that Brian was out on the pitch shovelling snow!
At that point I resigned myself to a token greeting.
Brian arrived 10 minutes later, full of apologies.
He then spent almost 40 minutes giving Russell a full tour... Introducing him to Mallan, Goodwin, Thompson and Rae... all of whom willingly stopped and chatted.
A visit to the changing rooms, Board Room, Tunnel and trackside followed... Along with a lovely chat with his fellow Kiwi Howieson.
Brian shared wonderful stories of Saints past and present, and showed a pride and passion about Saints that took me aback.
The game may have been postponed, but he made sure that my Cousin had a truly memorable day. One that he will always cherish. I will too.
Well done Saints...truly proud to be a Buddie.

At last someone has worked it out.
I think some people must think that cloud cover is uniform over the entire area and that localised weather conditions don't ever occur.
The Kilmarnock game may well have started, but latterly the game was stopped because the lines had to be brushed clear as, guess what, the snow got heavier.
If the club had postponed the game earlier and there was no localised heavy snowfall and the pitch remained eminently playable.............
Well, you know the reaction we'd get.

I heard yesterday that the club had someone contact the supporters buses asking them to take 50 scratchcards to sell on their respective buses, and that they would receive 10 whole pence commission on each card, now given that the buses have had a low income due to the team being pish under the jurisdiction of their previous managerial choice i find that a bit off. I also find it to be a damned cheek as i believe the proceeds of theses cards are to be used for fitting out the bar which will serve a minority of saints fans.
The buses have to sell their own hidden team cards to make ends meet.
Another example of our out of touch BOD and their cohorts having no clue of what it takes financially to support our team and where our money should realistically be spent.

Waste time? His team was losing
If he wanted to organise the defence he could pick up the ball and walk back to the box with it in his hand before throwing it back. That happens all the time.
Instead of doing that, he blootered a dead ball into a section of kids from 10 yards away. Does apologising afterwards make that kind of behaviour ok?

Can't agree with that sorry. There are better ways to waste time at corners. The Morton player could have grabbed the ball and ran toward the box and then dropped it, it is a classic tactic, booting the ball directly at spectators is not.

Saw someone sharing this on twitter tonight. It's from the 88-89 season at Tannadice.
I was there, brought back amazing memories. Can definitely see a young SantaPonsaSaint in there too, sure a few of you will recognise yourselves or some other well kent faces in the crowd shots.

Jim Goodwin was outstanding again today. Well done Sir! Loved the wee mid air control of the ball with the outside of the foot. I think he did too judging by the smile on his face and the demonstration of it seconds later to his team mates. Well done Jim Goodwin on another fine performance.
