  1. I was absolutely raging last night. I was sitting behind the morons who set the flares off, with my 10 year old son who has asthma. Fortunately, the smoke drifted in a different direction, but these things have been known to bring on asthma attacks, however i dont expect these fannies think about that. Shameful.
  2. Away from the shambles on the pitch, can the fans please refrain from setting off flares? Some of the behaviour was embarrassing tonight.
  3. Not even sure why they televise this, given only the spawn of Satan are getting a vote, which amounts to 0.00267 % of the population. Democracy my arse.
  4. Realistically we will probably end up somewhere between 7th and 10th. Looking at our squad, it isnt nearly as strong as the Edinburgh clubs, Aberdeen or United. County like us have signed some unknown players and still havent got a decent keeper, Motherwell should be about the same as last season, Livi i think may regress slightly. However we will all be saved by a weak St Johnstone who cant score and an even weaker Killie whos recruitment this summer has been Stubbsesque.
  5. If your stream keeps coming and going best going to the doctor.
  6. There seems to be massive delays in processing visas. Foreign signings by other clubs have also not had theirs granted yet and aren't able to play for their clubs either. So, basically, it's the Tories fault, the kunts.
  7. In May 2016 i was in Menorca with my St Mirren top on, heard a shout from the balcony "have you signed up for buy the buds yet", turned out it was a fellow sufferer, cant even remember his name now though.
  8. I think Scotland just decided they'll boycott the World Cup in protest at Qatar's human rights record. You've got to admire their priniciples.
  9. He played well in the second half of the first leg after they changed formation. Other than that, i felt he didnt really stand out in the play off games. If its a choice between him or Mallan its a no brainer.
  10. That headline doesnt say a lot. Their biggest transfer kitty ever just means they might have a slightly bigger budget than 2 years ago - when they were relegated. Picking up players like Alan Power doesnt exactly scream top 6. They were really poor last season yet have re-signed the likes of Hodson and Waters at full back. I predict another struggle for them.
  11. I cant remember when the two stands policy came but looked at the seasons 2011/12 and 2014/15, as i'm pretty sure it wasnt in then. 2014/15 we only played Celtic, average attendance 5700, 700 of a difference. However, we have to bear in mind we were particularly shite that season. 2011/12 we had just signed some decent players and were doing ok - it was also the last season for a while playing both celtic and rangers. Average attendances against them were almost exactly the same as the season gone by, in fact the win v Rangers on Christmas Eve had 6700 there. The financial benefits of this policy are being massively overstated.
  12. As i posted on pie and bovril, those figures are false as they simply multiply the capacity of the family stand with ticket price and number of games. They dont take into account the loss in season ticket income from the family stand, or loss of home supporters attending these games. The Hearts game in Feb last season had only 600 fewer fans than the average of all the old firm games. The real benefit of the two stand policy is more like £15k a game.
  13. My brother in law, father in law and nephew are all there. I quite like all of them, but i still cant bring myself to want them to win. C'mon the Eintracht!
  14. Agreed, though I still think, with the squad we have, we surely have enough to get another 3 or 4 points which is realistically all we should need - and if we can't, surely we have enough to overcome the likes of Arbroath or ICT in the play offs? Personally I'd sack him at the end of the season if we end up in the play offs, regardless of whether we win them.
  15. Ooh, someone's been on a management course.
  16. Scores stay like this we just need to win by 4 tomorrow to make top 6. Easy peasy.
  17. Some of that is wrong. Brophy is signed up till 2024 and Lyness I believe has a year left.

    AGM

No, I'm a white middle aged man so not diverse enough 😄
  19. My point though is there currently is a massive pre occupation with trying to stop the spread. Have you been to a GP recently? Temp checks, masks, everyone in hazmat suits, last time I was there I thought I was going to be sprayed with disinfectant, all to "stop the spread". Well, it's not working, 1 in 14 had it in Scotland last week. We have flu every year, which also kills, and now in greater numbers than covid, but I don't recall any previous attempts to segregate in hospitals for any other illness.
  20. Perhaps it's time for the medical profession to change how they deal with covid. Currently there are still lots of protocols and preventative measures to stop the spread - separate wards etc - which reduces capacity. This is despite the risk from covid drastically reducing - flu is now more deadly. I currently have covid and it feels like a mild cold - I know lots of people who have had it recently and no-one has been really unwell. Perhaps if we remove protocols given the reduced risk it might help hospitals cope better.

    AGM

AGM announced for 21st April. Three places on the current SMISA board up for re-election - those of us who didn't pay much attention when the constitution was drawn up are probably surprised to hear only a third of the board are up for re-election each year. I'd urge anyone who wants change and a more inclusive SMISA to stand for election.
