  1. If my family all sold their wee hooses in Glenburn with back and front gardens we would probably get a big hoose in Bearsden which would surely tempt one of them.Ronaldo would be my choice as the tabloids would say Messi was too wee for the Scottish game. Edited to say that i love my wee hoose in Glenburn or as it is commonly called Glenbroon.(13 hooses and a shop)
  2. George did not remortgage his house to sign Yardley.Bryan McAusland bought the big man.Even before he joined the board he was dipping into his own pocket and did not get his money back but was given shares instead ultimately becoming a member of the board.Everyone knows that of course.
  3. Can you come in to the club at some point and divulge your wealth of knowledge on how we can make our club great again.I genuinely think you may have a few good ideas in amongst your rants.
  4. Development fee is due if Jason has been offered a new contract within a certain time scale.I would be extremely upset if this has not been done. There is absolutely no way Jason will down tools. He wants to stay and help keep us up.
  5. Are they real drams of 35ml Stuart or 25ml slevvers.
  6. Don't be afraid Billy.Tam would be saying we will be fine and I always believed in him.Stay positive.Just met Henry Smith delivering mail in Linlithgow. One of the guys in football who should not have a day to day job.Hearts legend. Thanks to all the regulars in the Black Bitch Linlithgow for making me so welcome.Told them all we would stay up and they all hoped we would. If you are ever passing please drop in.Great guys.
  7. On Saturday at half time we will know the results from 2 of the bottom clubs games which have early kick offs. This hopefully will be defeat for both and will us on to win against the ton.The following week our lovely neighbours will win and we defeat QOS.Thats how the dream goes in my house and the table looks a lot different.Believe peeps and give the team 100% vocal backing in every game.We MUST survive in this league. No ifs no buts and we can play our part.Come on you Saints.
  8. £92,500 per annum plus £35,000 of free issue kit.JD did have sole rights to sell the strips and the sponsorship of the dome was extra. All in all a huge amount of money to lose but i have no doubts that a new deal will be high up on the list of priorities of the present board. I,m sure MAXI HAULAGE would look terrific on our new strips. Over to you Richard.
  9. Voted for the lads.Get voting Saints fans.Need to get the lads a gig at the 1877 club.
  10. The cost of the shelters are £2500 each and the disabled supporters section have approached local supermarkets for grant funding to purchase these units. At present the new disabled viewing platform appears to be accomodating all who wish to use it.I personally would start with one shelter for the away fans. On the subject of the USH the club has a number of issues it has inherited and have not budgeted for. Ralston-The floor of the main building is rotten and requires major repair work.(currently underway) The astroturf requires to be replaced. The Dome-The design of this beggars belief and repair works cost the club a small fortune. USH. This unit requires major work to bring it back to fit for purpose capability and yes a local firm can carry out these works. As it stands just now we just dont have enough paying customers coming through the door to offset these costs and probably dont even have enough to cover the day to day running of the club.Only a change of the teams fortunes on the park will get more people through the gates and i place my trust in Jack and Jamie to do that.As for where the Smisa money goes i really dont care as long as it benefits the club long term.We are not bailing out the board we are contributing to the financial well being of our club.A club we will inherit in the future so i call for unity with one aim.A strong and prosperous St Mirren FC.
  11. The Carrs are a big Saints supporting family who put a lot back into the club.Maybe we should look at other streams of revenue we currently outsource.
  12. No need for public statement..The matter was brought to a satisfactory conclusion and club policy has been clarified and changed. We have more important issues like winning games so we require the support to get behind the team and i,m sure the points will come.Dumbarton have a very difficult run of fixtures in December and i fully expect us to be above them come the new year.I,ve taken on wee Tams optimism. We are St Mirren.
  13. Like you Div i much prefer Tony,s over exuberant views rather than the we are doomed views of some connected to the club.Aim high.Anything else is a bonus.
  14. The matter is indeed resolved.Lessons have been learned and its time to move on.Lets get 3 points on the board on Saturday.
  15. 2 great friends in Cookie and Judy Reid.I remember Judy swimming in the sea at Ardrossan after smothering himself in margarine to keep out the cold.He was an absolute loonball but a great guy.
  16. Perfectly reasonable question.Unfortunately it only caters for 10 disabled and 10 carers. We currently have more members than that and space is limited.I believe we cater for disabled fans in the away end but unfortunately not in a raised platform.
  17. Thats where it was supposed to go.The sign makers originally put it in the wrong place.
  18. If you enjoyed the game you had too many sherries. If we quote Gus about going to the cinema to be entertained then it was like a shit film with a great ending.I,ll take that at the moment thank you very much.
  19. If the matter is not resolved this week i will indeed be in touch.I have to place trust in people at the club to do what they say they will do and at the moment we appear to be making some progress. As it stands though he is still banned and will be denied the opportunity of watching his nephew perform today for St Mirren.
  20. Its about 14 weeks and no i dont believe it is acceptable. In the meantime i need to trust the custodians of the club to prioritise this issue and do what they say they will do and clarify the position with the SPFL.
  21. The Smisa chairman is on the case therefore no need for David to contribute to this thread. He,s an absolutely decent individual and there is no need to have a go at him. Dialogue is ongoing and i hope a satisfactory outcome will be reached next week following clarification from the SPFL on a few issues. Scots law says you are presumed innocent till proven guilty. and as Josh has not been charged he cannot even plead either way. There is no right of appeal at the club and i think that in itself is totally draconian. In short i reckon he will have his ban rescinded sometime next week after consultation with people who have a wider grasp of legislation. I am in constant contact with our chairman and CEO on this matter and as i said hope its concluded next week.
  22. Delighted to have contributed to this as a Smisa member and the manager of Paisley Engineering.I,m so chuffed that my men have put together such a fantastic construction that the club can so rightly be proud of.A massive thanks to my good friend John Grant who contributed his services free of charge also.May the members of our disabled supporters enjoy their new facility.God bless you all.
  23. You are 100% correct and our family do not request any special dispensation whatsover. If Josh is found guilty of any offence then a ban is the recourse under SPFL laws and Police Scotland if a banning order is placed. We do not have a problem with that.Hopefully by the end of this week the matter will be resolved but at no time have we sought immunity from the club because of our support over the years.
  24. The clubs had forever to get it clarified.Tony (he dislikes being called Fitzy)has a meeting with Bob the policeman this week so hopefully all will be clearer by then. As it stands my love and respect for the club is at an all time low and things will never be the same again. My nephew was denied the chance to see his nephew make his home debut for our club. That only happens once and cannot ever be replayed. Its extremely possible he may see him make his debut for another club in the not too distant future. One where he is not locked out by the very people he helped to get in power.
