  1. The ban has not been lifted. We have a number of what they call policeless games.Low category games which require no police presence. This saves the club a fortune in policing costs and part of the remit is our own stewarding polices these games As a club we have to ensure that anyone reported by the police causing an offence is banned from the ground. That is what happened with Josh only he has never been cautioned or charged and it sits in limbo. Meantime the club are wary that these policeless games could be put in jeapordy if we are not seen to adhere to strict conditions. After every home game we sit down with the police and go over any events arising from that game so in my book we have had at least 4 occasions when Josh,s case could have been discussed. My view is that this has not been the case and the club have failed Josh big time. They have a meeting this week where i feel pressure must be put on the police to either charge him or clear him.
  2. Both Tony and GLS have my number.Only one of them has been in touch today. The other probably does not know me too well.
  3. He.s just out of school and back from injury and is the most level headed kid out there. His family though are a shower of dafties.
  4. The concourse is the area between the seats and the fence. It is where you walk between going for a pee and coming back from a pee.You might even partake in a bovril or a pie while traversing said area.In other words the polis are unlikely to arrest you for walking in said area.
  5. They knew he would be attending yesterday and deliberately set out to target him. What a talent we have in his nephew though.St Mirren may want to put him on a long term contract.
  6. I should be writing about my nephews boy making his home debut.Gutted aint the word.
  7. Picture the scenario mate. Its 5 minutes to go and you equalise against your rivals. He along with many others celebrate on the concourse(not having breached the barriers of the stadium). No crime committed. One of his mates does breach the barrier and is arrested. He does not enter the field of play.Josh is then assumed to have obstructed an officer in carrying out his duties in arresting this lad and is led from the ground. He is taken away and dropped off 5 minutes later in Causeyside street without charge.Next thing he gets a letter from the club saying he is banned. Fast forward 4 months and he has still not been charged nor most importantly cleared. The club state that he must have a letter saying he is in the clear but as Josh says the police dont issue such documentation.Result is a stalemate. Josh had been attending the games by paying for a ticket(on top of his season ticket which has been blocked)to attend games. He has done this without problem and has interacted with the stewards thoughout ie speaking to them etc,Rightly or wrongly this football club is his life and all he wanted to do was support his team. Roll on to yesterday and Josh,s nephew is making his home debut.A large contingent of our family attend the game but low and behold Josh is refused entry.Special instructions were given to our security(ie stewards) to refuse him permission to enter the ground.Kyles home debut was like a kids first day at school. It only happens once and his uncle was denied that opportunity to see him make that debut. As such i have to make a decision where i put my family loyalties first.I wont step foot into the ground unless Josh is in front of me.
  8. Space was available and seats were available so a local company with a Saints fan in charge supplied the labour to install the seats. Everyones a winner.
  9. We wont have money in January to strengthen the team nor do i reckon we should have to.I believe we have a better squad of players than most of the teams in the league and all they require is to raise their game and play with a bit more pace.We tend to let teams regroup when we have the ball and it makes it easier for them to win back possession. There is too big a gap between middle and front and the midfield must give the front men options when we are trying to retain the ball. Tonight is massive on a number of points.Lets get in about them and take the 3 points down the road.
  10. Are you sure you dont have a wooden heart.St Mirren are not just for Christmas.
  11. What tablets have you been on this morning my friend.I want some.Lets hope a positive and upbeat Gary can muster the troops to back the team.In the meantime i,m going for a lie down.Someones stolen Gary,s keyboard or the dugs learned how to use it.COYS.
  12. Joe managed to buy a house with his royalties from SITMWY(Reservoir Dogs).Late again was written by Joe and i agree with you 100% it is indeed the stand out track. When Stealers Wheel were on TOTP,S back in the day my house was jammed full as we were the only family with a colour telly. Many a day the Egans house in Arran Drive Glenburn was the place to be as the extremely talented family would entertain everyone with their musical jam sessions.Auld Paddy Egan sitting with his wee hauf.Lovely memories indeed and a truly wonderful family.
  13. No cheap shot intended.Reminds me though why i dont post too often on the forums.I really should leave it to the experts.
  14. I drove down from Arrochar on Saturday picked up 2 mates and went to Easter Road.On the journey through we talked about attending this game as it was only the irn bru bar cup.It mattered not a jot when we seen our team fighting and scrapping for every ball.Winning was so important for team spirit and i,m sure we will be out the traps with a new found gusto on Saturday against United. I,m fired up for this one and the drive down from Arrochar will be a different one from Saturday past.I,m buzzing for this one. Come on you Saints.
  15. Mental health illness is A short phone call could be enough for someone to think hey theres people who care about me out there.Make that call and make someone living in a darkened state know that you are there for them.
  16. May i suggest that Tam McGarry is named as a director posthumously for a season in recognision of his contribution to our club. His wife is continuing his SMISA membership and as a founder member of the 1877 club and one of our greatest ever fans i feel it would be a fitting tribute.
  17. Absolute gentleman and a great St Mirren fan back in the day.I bought him a ticket for the first game at Greenhill Road hoping to rekindle his desire to come back regularly but i think the Knox Street demise knocked the stuffing out of him.I got to see him on a daily basis as he was our postman and we chewed the fat about St Mirren constantly and i only have good memories.May you rest in peace Cubby now you,re suffering has come to an end.You fought it bravely my friend.God bless.
  18. What are you doing up so late at night.Get some Horlicks down your neck.
  19. I,m disappointed because if you sack your manager it means your team is not doing well.I,m at a loss to where we go from here as the fans choice appears to be John Hughes. He left Caley because his playing budget was cut and i dont think he would come to work with what we have. The last three years have been the worse i have experienced as a Saints fan and the next appointment has to be the correct one.The players really have to look at themselves also as they are the only ones who can dictate whats happening on the park. Finally i plead to all Saints fans to come out and support their team starting with this Saturday against Dunfermline.Your support is required more than ever.
  20. One of the present board voted for him to get the job in the first place.
