  1. i am very sceptical i know , i just don't get why a guy with no previous interest in st mirren wants to put 500k up to part purchase the club, he must want to make money from it some way or another - he is a businessman after all, i have no truck with that if it keeps us progressing,One of his intial comments "the model works better in lower leagues" is a major concern, it has me thinking that his plans don't lie well with the SPL, and its rules and regs, Involving the wider community to enable access to grants etc, will provide income but if it doesn't provide enough to cover whatever he needs it for do club funds then need to be used. Another concern is that any money generated from games,TV, advertising etc, might not be available to buy players. To put it shortly it might keep us going but will it matter to him if we are in a lower league or indeed will he be happier if we are in a lower league that's my concern
  2. aye anybody wishing to buy a football club who does not have the money to do it just remember to pay any tax you owe and then you can get away with passing the clubs money through your own companies - letting it "rest" in your companies bank account for as long as you can makes you interest - then just keep doing that and as long as you make sure the club pays it debt your making money for nothing, OR get in league with a few others - set up a new company - move all the cash slowly through that, you make less money but you have others for back up or others to blame - when the wee investors ask why they are not earning dividends
  3. aye the money was used to pay off the debt to lloyds bank as well, but if it was "resting" in another account for a few months - how much interest did it make ? and who got that money
  4. somner9 is right it's now the bethany church queen street, and you'll never guess it used to be the institute for the deaf and dumb

  6. indeed they will blame everyone for their demise, apart from wee coisty that is, and threatening people who just want what they are owed shows the lengths they will go to,on the plus side it might help stop people giving out false public shows of support for them
  7. i for one will ignore him and hope all normal minded people make their own decision on this, then he will have 2 or 3 folk to debate with on here and maybe take the hint
  8. no, i can use 2 asterisks to blot out one letter if i want
  9. to proud even for that i fear, noticed that true to form you didn't include "the royal we" in the drink proposal
  10. unfortunately i dont think spirit of 77 will come back on, i do enjoy his posts, when he reacts to people calling him a c**nt, it's understandable, one of the people in question is really annoying and prompts folk to lose the plot, easy to say ignore him but when he comes out with derogatory remarks about nhs staff and public sector workers when some people have family in these professions it is hard to ignore and feel the need to react, the other person is easier to ignore. so77 is a proud man obviously and has appologised for his remarks, he will be missed, and he goes with his pride intact
