  1. I was there with you and the gang, I was 21. Celebrating Saints centenary year. Was there not a commemorative shield up for grabs that night ?
  2. There is now only one member on the SMiSA board from my time on it. Back then it was impossible to get any proposals supported by a majority unless you were part of the group of 5 board members who had regular meetings with Mr Scott , they held meetings between themselves and then brought proposals to the full committee meetings and had them all passed. I know some of the current SMiSA board and I have trust in them to represent the members and fans in a far more democratic way than before.
  3. No, that’s Slarti’s comment on my post which was - nay way 😁
  4. They will not be on the club board, so Mr Gilmour would be an option for voters as a mentor to stop the draining away of club finances, rein in the big spenders.
  5. Willie Bell, Kenny Lang and John White would be excellent for SMiSA and the Club, I might even rejoin SMiSA if they are appointed. I don’t believe that now is the time for younger board members although I would encourage them to attend SMiSA regular meetings to gain experience. Mr Gilmour when putting his shares up for sale said he was tired of running the club, he also advised that we support Rangers cause when they faced being dropped into the bottom tier because it would be Armageddon if we didn’t, the supporters felt differently and were proven right. He was good for the club in many ways back in the day, but In regard to the points mentioned I don’t believe he should return.
  6. Heard a joke about IKEA yesterday but I had trouble putting parts of it together.
  7. SMiSA shares cannot be bought by anyone, as far as I know they can only be transferred to another similar community interest/ charitable organisation and I’d read that Kibble no longer have charity status. SMiSA would have to no longer be in existence for another organisation to inherit their shares. Kibble would need permission to buy out any of the minor shareholders. I may not be completely accurate in the above paragraph, it’s what I recall from my time on the SMiSA committee.

  9. I would suggest that a brick/block construction with a metal clad roof (sports barn) is the best solution. Any type of fabric roof could be vandalised in the same way as the dome has been (on several occasions). Any open to air playing surface could be vandalised just as easily as the dome was.
  10. I think I read somewhere that he can be recalled in January if needs be.
  11. It’s a good workout and a good laugh. No age barrier. If you’re interested you can come along and watch how it works.
  12. I have no interest in going to Aberdeen, first away game I’ll miss this season. I can do without going through checkpoint Charlie and encountering those over officious bullying stewards.
  13. Stephen is impressive in what he says and what he wants to achieve with us. Definitely not a “game of two halves” type. He seems to put a lot of thought into what he says.
  14. No complaints about Robinson, hope the rumour doesn’t get Squashed.
  15. You know as well as I do that they will not and probably cannot use their funds in that way.
  16. Your wee stalker would seem to not be a stalker if he/she is ignoring you.
  17. Another guy who has no managerial experience, no thanks.
  18. Kibble connection, bad. David is his dad.
  19. Appoint the player/coach of struggling Aberdeen as our manager - no way. My season ticket is hovering over the bin. Gus would also have the same effect on me.
  20. 9 in Paisley, 1 in Crosslee, 3 in Ayrshire, 1 in Englandshire.
  21. Expect the meeting to go as follows. Point 1 , Any member can email the SMiSA board to engage with us. (We may or may not reply) Point 2. The current relationship between the club and Kibble is, we have 2 Kibble people on the board and have a relationship. (We cannot comment on the actions of board members or sponsors because they won’t tell us anything anyway) Point 3. The current financial forecast for the club is, we don’t really know because nothing has been decided on that, we may need to spend loads to get a new manager and the club will not inform the SMiSA board of the current financial situation anyway. (Some current and previous club officials are spending too much on things that are not necessary) Meeting adjourned before anyone can ask awkward questions.
