  1. There is a disappointing lack of loyalty and support for one of our own who seems to be in some bother. We have a song. It goes a bit like this. 'We'll go wherever St Mirren go.......... We'll take you on wherever you may be. We are the boys from Paisley' Its one of my favourites as it sums up the 'one for all' spirit of our famous support. I dont really think it means we get into fist fights incidentally. I'm sure you must have joined in. So get behind John. Or if you cant do that then just keep quite, and dont join in that song next time.
  2. I see that the so called Scottish Football Association are charging our man John Needham for having a go at their favourite rascist bigots. Time for every true Saint to get behind John. Whether you think his comments were right or wrong, its now gone way past that. A blow against our Chairman is a blow against every Saint.
  3. Nonsense. Why dont you try supporting your team. Those rascists are not our friends and John Needham to his credit has made that clear. Its important that you get on the right side here. It because of this appeasing attitude that this insidious disease has been allowed to take root again. Whats unacceptable is anti Irish racism. Please do not lose sight of that when you are bringing down a man who has had the courage to call it out.
  4. I think this John Needham sounds like a splendid fellow. Calling out the rascist bigots is not a crime, and its a disgrace that he hasnt received the support from the Club and fans that he deserves. I am also disappointed in the so called fans on here who have critisised him. I think this 'Slash' is probably a Rangers fan. If Saints are your second team then we really dont need you. No wonder our team got humped yet again at the weekend
  5. Magic, thanks. Bobby Holmes it is. Great info Eric. Every civilised person knows that Alex Smith is the only non old firm manager to have won two Scottish Cups with two different teams. I wonder if Bobby Holmes holds the same record as a physio.
  6. Befor I get too old and forget my own name, I am marking up my treasured old 1987 Cup Winners photo. But who is the coach next to Tommy Wilson. Hope someone can help. What was I saying?
  7. Lammermuir Drive Glenburn when I got to know him about '78
  8. So sad to let you know about the untimely passing of Steve Rowan, sometimes known round these parts as Gordon Urquhart. Steve was a great friend and a good buddy, and I will miss him dearly. Steve was an active member of the Saints community. Back in the early days of the guest book forums, whilst living down south he was Teletext Boy. Announcing the match day goings ons to the exiles online during the Tom Hendrie era. Later, he poignantly captured the passing of one of Saints’ most sacred treasures by producing Love Street the Movie. He leaves behind a fine young man Andrew, with whom he could be found in the West Stand every home game, cheering on the buddies. My thoughts are very much with him.
  9. Does this make the UK look like a third world country? If we saw people in Africa queuing at a football ground to receive medical attention like this, would we be setting up a standing order for 'just £5 a month'.
  10. No pressure on I M Jolly. But if he cant beat the Czech Republic's soccer aid 11 tonight then he should chuck it.
  11. What a moby That's all very well, however its amazing how quickly and without any resistance our freedoms have been removed. In the months and years to come we will look back and wonder; when did we hear the first lies.
  12. Correct. Its classic fascist control to create fear, and then hatred for the scapegoats. When's the next election, or has that been cancelled too.
  13. Nonsense. It has little to do with the budget. Its about how hard you work at training and during the game, and how well motivated you are. That performance was embarrassing and shouldn't be excused because the other team are paid better.
  14. Frank was the most entertaining for sure. However in order to be 'The Greatest' it has to be someone who is respected throughout the game, and has Saints truly at heart. Someone who could stand shoulder to shoulder with The Greatests from all of the rival teams. McNeil, Greig, Miller, Stanton There is only one.Tony Fitzpatrick.
  15. Surely the sensible remedy is to turn up in less numbers rather than more numbers. How do you expect this rogue Board of Directors to pay any attention if you complain and then slavishly turn up and pay your money anyway.
  16. I think this figure is fairly accurate. However I sincerely hope that St Mirren are fined at least that amount for the criminal lack of effective stewarding which led to the public order offences of which we are all aware. It should come as no surprise that when hooligans are allowed to stand during the game then public order is much harder to enforce. If you are going to let them take over the family 'no swearing please' stand then stewarding should be effective. SPFL. Do your duty. Fine here please.
  17. Jam Tarts on a bad run at the moment. 9 goals conceded, no goals scored and no wins in the last 4 league matches. Saints falsely optimistic after a flattering 2 -0 gubbing at home, and a dreary 1-1 against the SPL's worst ever team. Goal in each half. Two Nil Jambo's
  18. He did a brilliant job at Thistle last year. No, hang on.
  19. I watched a Northern Ireland league match on Sky the other night. It was like watching the Juniors. I see that East Fife had won 8 games on the trot until they came up against Dumbarton and their new manager Jim Duffy at the weekend, and got cuffed 4 nil by the Sons. You've got to wonder what qualifications Gordon Scott and the rest of his so called Board have for recruitment and selection.
  20. Take your stinking paws off me you damn dirty ape.
  21. Mmm. Don't think so. Maybe amongst you college boys in the enclosure he was Fitzy or Fitzo or whatever. In the North Bank he was plain 'Tony'. That should be the name of the book.
  22. It'll be great. But since when was he known as 'Fitzy'. Maybe 'Tony' or even 'Tony Fitz'. But... 'Fitzy' ? Whats the story here.
  23. I can put up with the poor view of the pitch, the lack of atmosphere and the lack of proximity to the town, if that is progress. However, 'how may I live without my name? I have given you my soul; leave me my name.'
