  1. Now needed in the New Manager thread, it’s like Diana’s funeral in there with the outpourings of grief due to Craig Sibbald (no me neither) joining Livingston.
  2. He was sacked fairly early on in the campaign so can’t be called on to take all the blame, the appointment of Owen Coyle was a big mistake.
  3. You may well be right but he does have recent Premiership experience and will have good connections I’d imagine.
  4. If Duffy is the only other option then yes I could handle it.
  5. McIntyre would be a decent appointment and is my choice for the role. As for Duffy no thanks, yesterday’s man.
  6. I think we should budget sensibly whilst continuing to invest in youth as it appears to be paying off.
  7. Hopkin - Pablo Escobar as assistant (from beyond the grave obviously).
  8. Simple enough really. Run the flag up the pole and see who salutes.
  9. Teale inherited a club that was second bottom and left us at the bottom and relegated, but did have to navigate some pretty choppy waters to be fair. Doesn’t appear to have had another managerial post since, although it may be that he isn’t that keen on it anymore. Jack Ross did a great job as our manager and has moved on, no point picking over the carcass to put a spin on it that suits you. The king is dead and all that.
  10. Hopefully Neilson is ruling himself out. We don’t need another excuse maker in the Rae mould. McIntyre is still my choice but would not be unhappy if Goody got the gig, in fact I would be very happy.
  11. You need to read my post more carefully. I didn’t say Ross would be doing us a favour if he signed McGinn to his new club more that he had done us good turn by giving him a new deal thereby ensuring a transfer fee if he did move. As for the sun shining out of Ross’s backside, when you have endured the likes of your favourites Teale and Rae it is easy to relate to someone who has us winning and playing decent football.
  12. You never miss an opportunity to put the boot into Ross. If McGinn were to go then Jack did us a favour by getting signed up for two more years thereby ensuring a transfer fee if he does move this summer. Reilly shouldn’t be too difficult to replace and anyway his form shaded in the second half of the season, Magennis a bit more of a challenge. Still it will allow the new guy to put his own stamp on the squad.
  13. They only have themselves to blame, no ambition etc etc.
  14. Neilson giving off some very negative vibes in the BBC interview. Lots of ready made excuses for failure is not a recipe for success.
  15. If it was me then Goodwin. Hopkin would likely want his convicted drug dealer assistant not to mention Alan ‘Flash’ Lithgow and Declan ‘Di Maggio ‘ Gallagher..............no thanks.
  16. The king of cataclysm calling someone else hysterical
  17. Yeah let’s put a package together for a top manager and bankrupt the club.
  18. Scott Fraser has left Dundee United, would be a decent addition albeit injury prone.
  19. One guaranteed way to lose your new fans is to import en masse from your old club, especially when that old club plays at a standard that some Sunderland fans probably think is on a par with ‘pub football’. I can see Jack wanting Magennis but not many other than him. If McGinn were to go then Jack has done well for us in getting Stephen signed up for two more years therefore a decent transfer fee.
  20. Don’t know about the last sentence but otherwise you are probably correct. I think the Lord is getting carried away with apocalyptic thoughts.
  21. We will be away to Killie as the second seed always plays away to the top seed.
