Well worth the trip, if only to witness Thierry  Small`s reaction at the end.

Baccus was outstanding in the centre of midfield.

Sad to see Ethan go, we’re losing strength in depth. However, I think Baccus is better than Ethan in the centre and I think Kiltie brings more creativity to the side.

    Who: Gordon Scott
Why: Perhaps to use a fans legend to get his money back from his original investment when the Gilmour led consortium pushed him out after he wanted to take the club on an alternative path to speculate to accumulate?
That football legend was arguably irresponsible with budgets when he took over from Alex Smith. The money spent on Wishart, Torfadon, Stickroth, Archibald, Victor, Manley, etc plunged us into debt that forced the sake of Love St.
History has a habit of repeating itself.
I don’t blame Tony Fitzpatrick for those spending sprees. I blame those responsible for not controlling the budgets.
That blame must be held accountable by those in charge.
Our club chairman Mr Needham should resign.

Directors not taking responsibility seems to be common.
After quite confidently stating he wasn't responsible for the Ralston refurb project which doubled on original £200k estimate, Gordon Scott was asked why he wasn't involved, given his construction back ground.
" I wasn't asked to" was his jovial reply.
Says it all sadly.  Quite happy to wear the blazer though.

ok, going to address a few issues here, bear with me.
Blame tony, sure, when kibble became a 'partner' in club ownership, they 'lent' a general manager, one David Jameson, still currently employed at kibble. Every decision tony took in the early days was in partnership with the general manager. At the time there was and for some,  there still is a belief that Kibble was, according to their blurb, bringing their world leading expertise in business management to the fore for the benefit of the club.
Tony believed this, possibly still does, hence renderwork shambles at ralston, renderwork shambles in the pie stalls and renderwork shambles in security that led to the match against St Johnstone being a lock out for all intense and purposes and the uncosted albatross  that is ralston mk11 another renderworks shambles. They can lay anything they want at Tony's door, but he was being ably supported by the general manager a business expert loaned to the club by world leading charity Kibble. Perhaps if tony had been aware that David Jameson had until recently been head receptionist at kibble, has never worked outside of kibble in any capacity and has never worked in a business, ever, he would have slightly more wary.
every single decision Tony took, was under advisement from a kibble employee, being paid by kibble and being directed by kibble, his employment was not broken at any point, he has returned to kibble, where he can be found at an admin desk most days.
mark mcmillan, renfrewshire council and kibble.
not the first time those words have combined , its worth remembering that the above scenario of kibble seeking funding from renfrewshire council bears pointed similarities to Mr McMillans fall from grace as a Councillor when he sought funding to have kibble young people  clean the streets of paisley, having forgot to mention he was a paid consultant at the time. his fall from grace was only short lived as luckily he was appointed as a director of corporate affairs with kibble soon after.
St mirren fc will come through this, we always do, but, can people stop pretending now, that kibble have expertise in any field outside of charity work. they are a small regional charity who are hugely publicly funded to look after less than 100 young people at a cost of £30 million, they're ok at it, but thats all they are, not business men, not world leading experts, not even leaders in their very small field, the sooner the myth is busted the sooner we can get down to running a successful football club again.

I would add that, while it's far from the drama some try to paint, if we don't take steps to reduce losses we COULD find ourselves in a very deep hole.
I happen to believe this is a time for stability and no knee jerk reactions, we have people in the right positions, especially with Tony out of the picture, to do the right thing.

Extended contract offers to 4 or 5 out of contract players.
Not bad considering we've got liars telling us all financial armageddon is on the horizon.

Things are "so wrong" at the club that we got a 7000+ attendance today and we're undefeated at home since August.

There is now only one member on the SMiSA board from my time on it. Back then it was impossible to get any proposals supported by a majority unless you were part of the group of 5 board members who had regular meetings with Mr Scott , they held meetings between themselves and then brought proposals to the full committee meetings and had them all passed. I know some of the current SMiSA board and I have trust in them to represent the members and fans in a far more democratic way than before.

Fantastic to see so many people behind the goals these past few games. We need to say the board stopping the old firm taking two stands is working out well. I am happy to continue to pay a little more on my season ticket to help this continue.

I don't doubt that there will be some sort of financial deficit, given Covid and the current economic situation that the world has been forced into.
If we have spent the government money, then so be it. It's to be paid back at a very low rate, so not a huge worry IMO.
If there are other financial debts, then we'll have to see if we can sell a couple of players and get some of our high wage earners, currently warming the bench, off the payroll.
As much as I thought SGG, on the whole, was a decent custodian of the club, I think that bringing him back, is a retrograde step.
A lot of what seems to be happening seems to be down to supporters running the club disagreeing with the direction that The KIbble are taking the club. i.e. they've fallen out with each other.
IMO this was always going to happen. It's one of the reasons I voted against The Kibble involvement. However, I suspect that even if we'd stuck with the original model, someone would have thrown their toys out of the pram at some point.
I wonder how many people who voted for The Kibble involvement have changed their mind. FWIW I think The Kibble have done a lot of good, despite my reservations, and we are a far more professional outfit, both on and off the field. However, has it come at too high a cost?
There is no ideal way to run a club. Single ownership doesn't seem to be working all that well for Dundee United and Hibs if you look at the level of dissent from their fans.
Almost every club has gone through some sort of "owner influenced" turmoil. Maybe it's our turn again.

The same SGG that appointed Tommy Craig and left us hurtling towards league 1? Since Gordon Scott and kibble came in we’ve went from strength to strength, our stadium has been upgraded as has our training complex been refurbished, we are in a far better place on and off the park regardless of the shite that is being spouted.

We are trying to move forward as a club and we have massively so I would like to think the dinosaur days are gone, if he gets appointed my membership will be cancelled.

There’s a difference between getting early sight of what’s going to happen (which isn’t uncommon) and attaching Armageddon scenarios to it.

Reality - our third choice goalkeeper has left & the manager is having to move on a couple of players in January as we are slightly over budget.
Baseless exaggeration - St Mirren have to get rid of players urgently because we desperately need to cost save & are in financial hardship.

Reality - a couple of directors have moved on based on personal reasons/ other commitments
Baseless exaggeration - there is huge unrest on the board & the club is in turmoil.
