That first half performance was amongst the most embarrassing and gutless I've ever seen from a St Mirren team. For it to happen in a derby and where we are in the league makes it extremely worrying. Every one of that starting eleven is free to f**k off.
It's clear that this squad is not good enough to play passing football. Things improved slightly after half time when young Magennis came on and we started knocking the ball over the top and down the sides to get the Morton defence turned.
Is it wise to have keeper coaching other keepers when he won't come off his line, and can't kick or throw a ball in the vague direction he means to? Not meaning to single out Langfield, I'm sure we could go through every player in that starting 11 last night and rip their performances to shreds.

Ross is on a hiding to nothing. That was his third game and third different formation. The problem is he still has the same players. He has now hopefully realised our 3 loanees should never be a first choice and returned to their clubs in Jan. Hutton is dreadful - 2 year contact? What was Rae thinking? The only formation that makes us appear even half decent is 4-2-3-1 however injuries are preventing that. Magennis in only his second game showed more appetite, composure and skill than Hardie, Walsh, Shankland, Hutton have done all season. The only positive from a night full of negatives.

Ok. Here we go. I'm going to say it. The Meth Heads were actually very good tonight {takes deep breath and shakes head}. There are 3 or 4 players in their team I'd love to see at our club. They thoroughly deserved that victory. Bastards.

With the exception of Morgan and Magennis, every single one of that team out there can GTF as soon as possible. Clarkson and Irvine (and possibly Sutton) get points for trying hard but their performances were brutal. Langfield is a disaster, Mallan is one of the most overrated players I have ever had the misfortune to watch, Hutton is never a footballer in a million years, Shankland clearly doesn't want to be here (do any of them?), Naismith and Baird just haven't got it, but the things that worry me most? No heart. No fight. No dig. No passion. That's what hurts most and perversely is probably the easiest thing to fix. I can handle losing. Let's face it, 17 years undefeated is something those f**kers will never emulate but it was coming, and I can't handle losing in that manner. Shower of f**king pussies. At one point tonight, Quitongo held off his defender by gently placing a hand on his chest ffs. If he'd done that to someone like Aber he'd have got a broken ankle in return. Where is the fight? A blind eye has been turned to McAusland employing his son on a decent wage he doesn't deserve. Managers are forced to play possibly the worst defender in the SPL, its not a great start for them. We should really have made more of a protest when it became clear what was happening.
The stadium issue has been debated plenty, while we could have kept Love Street or not is arguable, but the new stadium is a complete f**king soulless shitehole and I believe in the long run will be the death of the club. I just cant see the next generation falling in love with the club if the matchday experience involves sitting in a crap stadium with no atmosphere being told to sit down and shut up by the stewards. Falkirk and Hamilton managed to put some effort in to their grounds at least. We once again took the lazy option.

Clearly the idiot earlier in the thread laughing at the missing letter on the stadium sign doesn't understand the symbolism of it. My business works well because Monday to Friday and many weekends I spend all day there and put my heart and soul in to it. If a giant letter fell off the front of my name on the building I'd have the whole sign down straight away, it would be damaging to our image. How could everyone be showing up to work at "t Mirren FC" and not give a f**k about the image of the club? I can only conclude its because the management don't care about it.

See that wheeler dealer manager we should have had before the last transfer window , well that's the kind of guy we need in place now , to identify potential signings for next season , we badly need 6 or 7 fit experienced player aged between 24 - 29 who can graft in the lower leagues .
I hate to admit it , but I think its relegation for us , and to bounce back up , we should be trying to put together a hard working experienced squad to challenge with effect from now .
Our other main priority is get us playing in a decent strip five black vertical stripes on a white shirt , if we can,t play like Juventes at least we would look like them.
