    Kris Boyd spl record goal scorer and people on here don't want him? Are you guys for real? Bet your happy with what we have at the min a team that gets utterly pummelled against Morton and has one striker ? Time to wake up folks the clock is ticking and we are miles behind in squad size

    We've signed two keepers and won't be signing any more. Cornell and Dillo will compete for no1 jersey

    I think as Derek Mcinnes says experience is a priority in goal. Cornell may be a good gk but I think an old head was required but. Then bringing in Cornell prob cost peanuts

    Beattie is overweight and injury prone. Killie looking to sign Boyd now that would be a major coup love him or hate him he is a goal machine. Our squad plus Beattie is still too thin and will struggle to avoid the play off

    Steven Thompson is the only player who is a recognised forward. We have no other natural forwards! We have no left back and I would say at this point this is the weakest squad we have ever had going into an spl season. The gk was poor today and I think we could use a proven gk . If the board are not giving Danny money then we could be seeing them getting ready to change? Just a thought

    Pish. We need no more than 2 - a striker and a left back and I'm not convinced we need a left back either.

    More pish! Until this morning McFadden hadn't signed with Motherwell and was theoretically available. Is he guff?

    As regards the budget, you're as bad at basic arithmetic as you are at whining like a bitch.

    We've terminated the contracts of several players a year early. That would not have been cheap. As said above, it's also likely that McGowan is on more money this year and so to expect the same number in as we let go is just the inane mutterings of a thick ****.

    Even a numpty should be able to understand the situation we're in right now.

    You've also ignored the fact that MacGregor has returned and is like a new player but hey don't let facts and commonsense get in the way of another whining rant.

    We've lost first choices Samson, Goncalves, Newton & Dummett plus squad players Carey, Guy, Parkin & Imrie.

    Samson has been replaced so that is that box ticked.

    Harkins could be said to be the replacement for Carey & Imrie. Brady may also get a chance.

    McGregor is maybe the replacement for Newton with possibly Robertson getting a chance.

    Dummett's possible replacements are Kelly & Yaqub (maybe Barron as well).

    However, there is nobody on the staff who comes near to Goncalves and Parkin was ideal cover for Thompson.

    If Lennon can pull something out the bag to replace Goncalves then the squad will be fine. I suspect he will be working on a loan deal there.

    But, as I keep saying, the downfall will still be the tactics. If we keep fannying about at the back - and we will - will are going to struggle.

    Sorry to keep being real but Robertson has not got it. He will not play and should be moved on. The squads far too thin

    Who's to say the current squad won't finish top 6. No one knows whats going to happen as we are still 2 weeks away from a ball being kicked in anger. Any squad cannot be judged 2 weeks BEFORE a season starts ffs ! Lets reserve judgement until we have played each team at least once by which time the squad will have been finalized and will have started to bed down. The weather may be bone dry but as usual this place is wringing.

    The current squad have good players but no depth. In winter away at tannadice with thommo injured is Reilly the main man to lead the line. I am sorry but factor in injury or suspension and we have absolutely no chance. The squad is one of the weakest in the league - bookies have us as one of the faves for the drop

    I'm willing to bet that as I spoke to an ex employee the Jd kit we buy is the same the players wear. Also the same shit eg puma happen to be one of the worlds top technical sportswear brands . An iconic brand is puma . So I'm happy to say that jd is a bog standard service with quite poor gear. Diadora are not making the kit . Their is no moisture control with the jd efforts either which lets it down. I think we're saints to get an Adidas or an umbro then you would see a tremendous spike in sales. Also ridiculous that on match days you can't buy a kit down and the park. You couldn't make it up

    BTW when you add players like Guy, Parkin, Imrie, Carey and Adam with their combined first team starts of about 3 last season you make yourself look like a tit. We've lost about 3 or 4 genuinely good players and brought in one leaving us just 2 or 3 short of where we were last season now FFS gie us a break.

    I think that they played more than that hard man. You clearly do not get why you need more than one striker as it adds competition for places. We're going to bring in a couple or maybe three of that I now have no doubt. I know that you may find this strange but I'm happy after speaking to a media friend tonight. Not love street and all his crap a media man who seems v confident were not done yet in the market. Oak soft my man take a chill pill your too easy to bait

    SG and Danny Lennon have both said in the local PDE that we will be going more with young players coming through this season more than previous seasons. That's not to say we wont bring someone in , my view. Also they went on Gowser signing was like getting a new player and I'm sure he will be on more money. DMc and Baron are like having new players added to the pool along with Harkins.

    If there are no new players arrive I see this as as a bottom 2 fight for sure that we being one of the 2.

    Barron couldn't get into lennons team last year and why is that? He can't pass a ball ten feet that's how. He is a hustler. And a harrier no finesse at all. He should have been punted . All other teams out with hearts and Patrick look pretty strong but us we have one striker? Enough said

    Several weeks to go before the start of the season.

    Hearts at -15 points.

    Relegation financial cliff has gone.

    Club saw crowd numbers drop last season too so no wonder they are not spending.

    Unrealistic numpty fans? Check.

    Numpty fans who find it easy to spend other people's money? Check.

    Numpty fans who scream for youth to get a chance and then scream because.......we're going with youth? Check.

    Meaningless cliches being thrown about like "disgrace", "lack of ambition", "embarassing"? Check.

    I have heard so much bull on here and I'm fed up with it. When Scott burns of the express tells me that we're in for a player I will believe it maybe but not on here. Keep the faith folks Motherwell are signing McFadden and McManus hibs are signing Thomson and vine county are bringing in four Dutchmen and caley have bought up six new boys. Add to that stjohnstone have got WothErspoon and now Aberdeen add a really good gk in weaver as well as Robson signing for them. Now with Newton, dummett, Imrie, guy, Parkin ,Carey, Adam, Samson, goncalves , all gone do those dillusional fans really think that we are going to be anything better than bottom feeders? What happens is that teams get players in early so that the are fit and are they have time to shape their teams style of play. We were 11th last year despite Thompsons heroics and McGowan playing 75 percent of games. Bringing in not one but two rookie goalies and an under 20 that Danny says is one for the future is crazy. The fact is that we are far far weaker and yet folk seem to believe the top six will be a possibility? How ? Are we going to have no injuries or suspensions? Whether new players come now is a mystery but if they do they will already be playing catchup in the fitness stakes and getting them moulded into the tinker mans way of playing will be a challenge. I think that for a team that lost so many players the management have been far too slow to find replacements. Remember Danny told us way way back before the end of last season he knew the players he wanted in and well it just shows you that here we are 2.5 weeks away and we have one serious signing in harkins. Thistle and us are the bookies faves alongside hearts to go down! I wonder why? The bookies aren't often wrong either!
