  1. I heard on a news item that they may serve their sentence in a UK jail.

That may help them and their families, but why should the UK taxpayer be held responsible?

I think they would have to serve half the sentence in Peru before being allowed to request a transfer to a cushy Brit nick.

The crime was commited in Peru and that's where the sentence should be served.

  2. The Berlingo is fine.Ive only had mine since Nov so wouldn't expect any problems yet.Other guys I've spoke to with older cars have been trouble free too.Mine is booked in for it's 36k service a week on Mon¡!

The Peugeot Partner is the exact same car with a different badge.

  3. I was thinking about the SEAT when I changed last year but it wasn't coming out for another couple of months. The guy at the Taxi Centre was raving about it.

I had 2 Octavias and they are great cars but the price is away up to 15k which is too expensive.

I got a Berlingo for under 11k.Good cars, good price, good fuel consumption and loads of space inside.Took a bit of getting used to with the higher up driving position,I thought I was going to top it the 1st fast bend I took but used to it now.

At the end of the day it's a van with windows and seats but does the job for me.:)

  4. Some cracking memories on here guys, but surprised no one has mentioned a game in Feb/March 77 when we were going for the First Divison title.

My memory is getting hazy now but I think the opponents were Hamilton and we were labouring to a 0-0 draw. Clydebank were our title rivals and with our game still in progress they announced the Bankies result over the tannoy. They had either drawn or lost away to QOS I think. A big cheer goes up, the team gets a lift (allegedly) and Saints promptly score the winner - something tells me it was Derek Hyslop who scored.

I'm sure Accies (or whoever the opponents were) made an official complaint about the announcement. lol.giflol.giflol.gif

Someone else must remember this, keep me right guys.

    Your memory is good.

Our game kicked off at 3:30pm.This was due to the authorities (Police/SFA) making OF games kick off early due to the behaviour of the fans. They thought if they had early kick offs the fans would be sober.:o St Mirren decided on a later kick off hoping to entice OF fans along after their game.It worked as there was a couple of hundred turned up in colours and a great 3 way fight in the North Bank.I don't think that experiment was tried again.:)

Accies went nuts about the announcement and,I suppose, you can't really blame them.:)

We played them away the following week and drew 0-0.

  5. One more than our new signing Bahiuken, as many as Thomo have against top flight opponents this season. I just think he could have done a job for us this season (as well as Carey) as we are crying out for a player who has a bit of pace and can play off the striker and goes forward,

Bahiuken or Thommo haven't taken any pens this season.(unfortunately)
