  1. Here! I resemble that remark... Still right about RUSH though, nonsense songs
  2. Funnily enough, I think that's the most...over-rated song on Blood Sugar Sex Magik an otherwise flawless example of musical excellence. Agree with you on the Rush stuff though... almost as pointless as Ronnie James Dio...
  3. Feck malts... Grouse drinkers of the World, unite... Quite like The Macallan though...
  4. Already in it bud... If you want to join you'll need to pay me your subs...
  5. Since it's Christmas, yule have to extract it using WinZip or summit similur... click Edited to add: 'member to virus scan it first ;)
  6. The torrent sites that a few posters have spoken about previous are OK for albums... I feel dirty for admitting this but I've been pretty lazy recently and have been paying £1 per song and downloading from T-Mobiles jukebox onto my phone... Limewire was an old flame of mine for single songs but I've noticed that Real Player allows you to download off YouTube...
  7. Never used it due to my strongly held beliefs that Nintendos are for pooves...
  8. Only if you boo when it appears on the screen...
  9. Thats your Windows Vista deid... Only used it about three times tbh and it's a pure shiter, reminded me of the aptly named Windows M.E.
  10. Run a scan for spy-ware on your PC...
  11. 1. Wait for the gas released from a meteor to reanimate you 2. Maraud for flesh and/or brains with the rest of the undead 3. Mass in groups around shopping centres/military installations/run down shacks 4. Try not to re-die 5. Eat the hero
  12. What does google know about maths?
  13. It's probably a security setting in your browser, what are you using, Firefox or IE?
  14. If it was meant literally my all time fave's would be: 1. The donkey standing outside Croke Park to protest at football being played there, wearing a Sellick trackie and top underneath with a placard that read "No to foreign games" Donkey Click 2. The f**king madman that launched himself off the top tier in the old firm game at protest of Hugh Dallas, or something. More should follow suit, it'd reduce the impact on benefits through our credit crunching times. 3. It's not all Celtic but the guys from the "Green Brigade" are consistently putting their Supraesque banners upside down with mis-spellings of complex words such as "Celtic" - presumably they're upside down so that when they take heiders off the top tier they can be properly read on the way down. (Half way doon the page...) 4. at the Osasuna v Rangers game who not only joined in but filmed him and his pals singing Simply The Best (Ibrox version) AND THEN STUCK IT ON THE INTERNET even after the brouhaha from UEFA regarding their blatant bigotry etc... Sad thing is some of them got do-ings from the Spanish polis at this game - shame. Hats off to the Spanish teams DJ who had the cunning to play the song for the degenerates... 5. Last by no means least the biggest blue nose possibly in the World, that "one team man" Sean "I support Hearts/Hibs/Celtic/Rangers" Connery, if anyone can outline the glory hunting nature of these pedants is surely this f**ker. I think he supports whoever gives him the best corporate days out. On yersel big man... ;)
  15. I take it you've tried a restart after starting all the services again, if not, give it a go and check that the services are all up and running. If they still go back to 'disabled' state, run an anti-virus on your machine. Have you recently run a repair on your Windows cos I heard that messed with Auto Updates. tbh Auto Updates is a pain in the arse and something most of us can do without, more often that not people get probs with the updates Microsoft send to you as they often interfere with hardware/software that Microsoft hasn't tested them with. You're better to pick and choose the ones you need. Point is it should work anyways, if I were you I'd see what happens after a restart and make sure there's nothing dodgy running on your machine. I know this was giving people probs with updates as well. Another thing to try is setting BITS to 'Automatic' cos I know some services have a problem with 'Manual'. There are tools here and there that can repair your update service but I haven't used them so I'm not sure how well they'll work... I found this one, its at the bottom of the page but as I say I've never used it so don't know how good or bad it is...
  16. I actually quite like AVG, infact I prefer the free edition to most AV's that you pay for. It's easy to use, doesn'y get in the way of the normal stuff you're doing plus is awright with games as well (which many of the others aren't). If you've tried uninstalling it and it still doesn'y work, it's probably not AVG that's the problem. It sounds like a firewall setting maybe (do you have Zone Alarm or anything installed?). If not try taking off AVG and everything else you have recently installed until you get your downloads working again. Plus give that lassie a slap for putting stuff on your computer when you're on holiday...
  17. The baisturts I'll see if I can find another one...
  18. Trying surfing through this... click Not sure if it'll work 100% but give it a go and let us know... edited for shpelling...
  19. Have you installed any new hardware recently? (external hard drives, new graphics card, memory upgrades etc) Can I ask, do you happen to know how many times it beeps when it starts up? When your machine starts up it tests all its components to see if they're working properly. Generally speaking the number of beeps reports the hardware's condition with multiple beeps usually indicating an error. It sounds a bit complicated but the beep combinations are relative to the software used to run your motherboards; as a result you'll have a motherboard with AMI BIOS, AWARD BIOS or IBM BIOS software or something of the like. This software type will determine the combinations of beeps and what they mean. I've found a general table here... Best thing to do is to try finding out through the make and model of your machine, which type of BIOS software your machine uses and from there tie up the beeps to the error... Just as a first guess you might have a damaged bit of RAM that's causing this but you'll need to find out...

    Graphics

There's different ways to make animated avatars. Probaby the easiest way is by creating an animated gif. Best to get yourself a hold of a graphics package like Photoshop or Fireworks, they're pretty easy to make with these. You can do them online as well in places like this Not sure the quailty that'll come out with the online stuff though...
  24. Does that mean on the 18th there could be chants of "Two David Wilsons....there's only..." etc
