We'd have to move or accommodate the floodlights and the two behind the goals stands are roughly the same size, howver the east and west stands are pretty different.  there wouldn't be a neat solution that would maximise the space.  I'm pretty sure each corner area could possibly hold an extra 200 seats each and we need to keep at least one corner open

As regards the proposal to look for concerts to fill the ground in the summer, there are many big concerts in the city at this time and the Hydro would house roughly 150% of what we could squeeze in to the SDA, leaving us with very few suitable events to bid for.

whoever approved the final designs of the stadium really closed out the prospect of making extra money from events

You have a far better understanding of this kinda stuff than me tbh.

That last point is just typical tbh.

Probably about an extra 800 or so

Really not worth the money, which would be between 400k-700k, to build

I would have thought it would have been approx 10k with corners filled in (3 of which).

But just a guess based on Livi's ground. I seem to recall it being like ours before the corners built in.

Livi's (just for size and aesthetic) is exactly what I would have hoped our stadium would have been. Uch well, can but dream and that.....

This must surely result in a charge against the dead club!! If they are saying that Willie Collum didn't see the incident and he said he did then they are not accusing him of incompetence but of deliberately lying. That is a step too far and surely they are bringing the game into disrepute

I have said this before. However, they have got worse... always the victim, what I have noticed is Gerard seems to play on this which sends a bad message out to the club and wider associates.

I can just imagine the Awards Ceremony to honour Sammy for the Clean Sheets.

"Congratulations to Sammy. Now let's watch on the Video Screen, some of the great saves he made during the Record Breaking Run "

"Fecking hell, what do you mean there's none?, You saying it was all down  to the Defence who cleared the ball most of the time ? "

" GIES THAT TROPHY BACK "

    Genuine question;

Based on that rhetoric do you disagree with 'top goal scorer' too? As most of the time the chance was set up by and only possible due to another players input? Or scrap 'man of the match' as other players assisted in said persons performance?

As I say I am intrigued by this as never really thought this in depth about things that are just footballing recognition.

Unbelievable. If he’s been approached by Sunderland should we not get some sort of fee for him?

When reading the article it says something about both clubs in discussions or 'held talks', so would hope that there is something in way of compensation.

I am disappointed though as Sammy has served the club well and has rightly been our no#1 keeper.

However, whilst I am disappointed to see him go, I wish him the best as he has to do whats right for him and his family.

Personally i think we should all temper our expectations regarding the January transfer window, and the number of new signings that could materialise. On the loans front i cant see, Hodson, Edwards, or Willock going out. And correct me if i am wrong, but at present only Hammill's contract is up then?

that coupled with our need to only recruit quality rather than quantity should see us learn the hidden lesson from Ross's famous January 2017 transfer window. That being for every Harry Davis, or Stephen McGinn, there are always plenty Craig Storrie's, Pal Fyelde's, Josh Todd's, Rory Loy's and Billy O Brien's to remember.

I agree about having realistic expectations, however, just a note, some of the players you mentioned done a job for us.

O'Brien, Todd and Loy provided something that we needed at that time, obviously just not for the longer term.

However, again, I will remain realistic when it comes to Jan as I am aware that we may see just one or two decent players coming in (if we are lucky). Really need some aggression in the middle (a goodwin). I think having Magenbnis back would also provide us more options as he is one with a bit of quality.

The sectarian Media hyping it up as grossly unfair to Daniel, saying he got an unjust red card for doing nothing.

He actually got a second yellow card for being a cnut and displaying ungentlemanly conduct.

Mr Collum and  his Assistant Referee should be backed.

    I agree with this entirely.

Had this been any other club (other than maybe the other half) there'd have been no media uproar and certainly no calls for a review.

If this gets overturned etc then the game will be brought into true disrepute. He and Anton were (can't believe I am saying this) correctly booked for their part in the unsporting behavior, it just so happens it was the wee fannies second.

Furthermore, coin-gate was poor on our behalf but the bigoted chanting is yet again not mentioned. What about the objects thrown at our support at Ibrox?

I saw someone else mention this on Facebook, however, I truly believe the Sevco fans have got worse since their return.

I alluded to this in terms of the number of Managers we have gone through and the decision making process behind each appointment.

In 48 years and 24 managers it says a lot about the due process that was followed each time an appointment has been made. Yes some managers will have left of their own volition, but many have been sacked and then rarely have the Board managed to appoint a 'suitable' replacement. If you take the period from Danny Lennon to Jack Ross there were 6 managerial alterations in that period alone in a two and a half year period!

AS's so called interview in the Sun isn't earth shattering, in fact it doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know. What it does lack is any admission from him that yes his approach with the staff he had, was perhaps not maybe handled in the best touchy-feely  way that JR may have used to keep the disparate group together as a team and that he made mistakes.

I have respect for TF for what he has done for the Club over the years, but it doesn't make him a visionary nor does it take much of a leap to question GS's role in the appointment of AS. I might suggest due process wasn't really followed by either of them and as others have said, they had their heads turned by a Cup win and a so-called coaching connection with Everton that would lead to players being brought to Paisley.

In OK I feel that at least they have someone who, if he is given the time and doesn't walk as LPM has suggested he might, just might take us on as a long-term project and grow with the club. That is a bit of a brittle dream on my part, but somewhere, someone can do this and give us a club that can survive at Premier league level in the middle of the table and for a longer period than one or two seasons. :cloud9

Yes, I agree with this entirely.

The appointments, how they've been handled, decision making in general has been questionable at best. It almost feels like we are run like a local amateur team and not a professional club operating in the top division with ambitions to stay there.

It a real concern and I am looking at this even purely as a business (which I hate to do), its not stable, the decisions have been costly and are not commercially viable and the club seems to lack any long term strategic planning.  Just seems the upper echelons are running trains on half built tracks whereby those below them, the team on the pitch, the manager(s) are being blamed for their poor management and us, the fans continue to finance  it and suffer the results.

It's painful having to sit and watch it all unfold.

I hope this time they have got it right, I guess January will be the first test; i.e. Will Gus's role deliver in targets etc, Will OK manage to snag what he needs and pull a team together to muster a fight etc etc

Sorry for the long post. I usually try not to.
