Playing a decent team tonight and winning on Saturday aren’t mutually exclusive.

Pretty unimpressed by that lineup, I'd be seething if I paid £27 for that team.

No game at this point is a free hit, and that midfield gives me no confidence that we're going to be putting up much a fight. Back to front, constantly under pressure

Good Grief. I thought the Paul McGinn and Jack Baird nominations were made in jest, but it seems some of you are serious!

Don't think you can say much after that, that hasn't been said after every game.

We are out our depth in this league. There's been zero improvement since last season. If we even flucked our way into the playoff spot, we'd definitely be the underdogs.

It'll be another summer of a full squad turnover.

That penalty is awful. We can't afford to be missing chances like that.

    Weird moderating.

Anyway, yet another bad one tonight for Kearney. Sounded like the same old rubbish against a team on a bad run, have to feel for the long suffering travelling buds.

This ‘turn around’ is surely going to start any time now. Since the winter break and opening of the transfer window our results have been:

    Saints 3-2 Alloa
    Celtic 4-0 Saints
    Saints 1-3 Hibs
    Rangers 4-0 Saints
    Saints 1-2 Motherwell
    Saints 1-2 United
    Aberdeen 2-2 Saints
    Hearts 1-1 Saints
    Saints 1-0 Livi
    Saints 0-1 Killie
    St J 1-0 Saints

5 points from 27 and knocked out the cup at home to a lower league side. That run alone should be enough to get him sacked, absolutely terrible form. That’s before we even take into account the utterly abject period he presided over between September and Christmas.

The most remarkable thing is we aren’t cut adrift despite being utterly abysmal all season, we might just stay up.

When we went down in 2015 we were relegated with 30 points, 11 adrift of 10th place and 6 adrift of 11th. If we were to win 4 of our remaining 8 games (optimistic given we only won 4 of our first 30) we’d still have less points than what we got relegated with in the heady days of Craig and Teale. This team really is that bad.

Of the 12 players that featured for us tonight 8 were given their Saints debut by Oran. This is very much his team and it’s not nearly good enough. He has been awful as St Mirren manager, the worst of all time in my opinion, but he is getting away with it because there’s a couple of teams almost as bad.

Not too sure how I feel about this along with Potter being included. Samson done well for us, without ever being the reason for putting us up a level. Samson is the very definition of alright for a goalkeeper. I don't think a penalty save in a semi final pushes you into what is the elite of the club.

It all feels a bit tinpot just putting in players that won something. Rather than guys that made a proper impact at the club in increasing the standard we played.

Hall of fame players should be noticeable for being consistently outstanding, being the force behind delivering the club a major honour or being an outstanding servant to the club. I'd give an allowance to cult heroes but even they need to have properly delivered.

Edit to add in 20 years time, I very much doubt I'll be speaking about Samson. He just doesn't tick the boxes for me.

Another edit to add, it's ridiculous to add someone who's actually played this season to the hall of fame. Never mind quitting mid season.

Any reason why Nazon didn't start? Despite him being the only player we've had this season that's managed to hold the ball in an attacking position?

We need to start winning games. Simple as that. Two draws on the trot was fine if we're within touching distance, but we're not, we need a two game swing in our favour to get into a playoff place, and we have showed that we're not capable of doing that.

Livingstone have been very hit or miss but have been physical, generally been organised, and had a clear game plan that the players have attempted to carry out. We actually need our team to do that this weekend.

Definitely the best tactically I've seen us under Kearney, two narrow lines of 5 and 3 making us difficult to play through and letting our defenders win their physical battles. Hearts lack real creativity and it showed, even though Hdlaky won us the point with his string of saves.

The midfield performed well, but there isn't enough energy to support a lone striker. We left Nazon and Jackson far too isolated at times, and perhaps neither are suited to us trying to get the ball in behind the defence in the channel. I felt Nazon played well, despite some comments from those around me.

Unfortunately our finishing continued to be woeful. McGinn then McAllister failed to even hit the target with our best chances.

It's the sort of performance that we'd have wanted three months ago. But hopefully it's enough to build off. We need to win against the Livingston

Again, disagree. Hearts had us under no real pressure. We sat back, soaked it up and tried to hit them on the break.
I'm willing to concede territory in away games if that is the performance we'll turn in. Being 3-0 and 4-0 after half an hour is when sitting in becomes an issue. Every single player on the park the last two weeks has known their respective roles and performed them admirably.

This two man central midfield tactic has been awful all season and continues to be.

Far too lightweight, and the full backs get over run easily.

Whoever came up with that set play needs binned. Laying the ball back to the original taker. He'll be offside 99 out of 100 times

I'm sorry but having a new team isn't an excuse. We can't keep giving every new manager a new team before they can't start getting results. They need to work with what they have, there's a lot of guys and girls out there that could at least get us looking more organised than what we have done.

Firstly you can't give any manager for losing and being uncompetitive in so many games no matter what the squad. At our level, managers need to work with what's in front of them, that means getting organised and getting smart. Kearney hasn't done that, and there's been no signs of it. We're not getting beat by individual mistakes, we're getting beat by not being organised.

The new signings have been an improvement, but the system we are playing is leading us to ruin. Kearney has no football identity, he's not playing a high press, possession football or a direct counter.

Nazon is one of the first players I've seen at us in a long time with genuine trickery and a willingness to take on players with the ball at his feet. Hladky is in the running for player of the year already for me. Popescu is also the best centre back we've had potentially my lifetime. Its nice to see someone at the club is finally doing something right, or we're just getting lucky with agents.

I'm sorry but naming two managers from a 30 year time period isn't logic.

Ross for all his results and signing policy being bad in the first season and winter onwards, and a visible improvement in results. Kearney hasn't achieved that.

Keeping a bad manager for the sake of not having to sack another manager is ridiculous. There's no defence for our results this season.
