  1. Plus Nelson spent the first half of the season at Darlington. Imagine the reaction if we'd paid money for someone who'd been playing for them. Had Dundee signed these guys from, say, Portsmouth then no one would be that bothered - but because it's Sunderland it's somehow treachery from Ross.
  2. This. The amount of folk I've seen whining about Ross shafting us again by giving these guys to Sunderland is incredible. How do we know they weren't offered to us and we said no? Maybe Kearney doesn't rate them or maybe we can't afford them. Who knows, perhaps Ross has done us a favour by deliberately giving Dundee a couple of duds And if we had sign them they same folk moaning now would probably have been moaning about us signing players with sod all experience. I'm not defending our transfer dealings and lack of signings today by any means, but there's plenty to be critical of without making stuff up.
  3. One of the papers this morning claiming Barry Ferguson and Alex Rae are in the running.
  4. Is this a permanent deal? The article on the OS doesn't mention anything about a loan.
  5. Are we aware that the Ebanks-Blake stuff is from one of these in the know agent accounts on Twitter, which is probably being run by some spotty little herbert in his bedroom?
  6. Cardiff striker Ibrahim Meite on trial according to The Sun.
  7. Cheers div So the fans pay for the 4G pitch, are being asked to pay for a game on it and are now being asked to pay for its upkeep. Hmmm. Murals for me.
  8. For some reason I've received the e-mail with my link to vote but not the one that goes into detail about the options. Would someone be able to post it here or send it to me in a DM? Ta in advance.
  9. He's an alias but I'm fairly sure he's not one of shull's.
  10. Is Ferdinand not under contract but there's a clause he can activate if he wants to go back down south? On that basis the club doesn't need to offer him anything.
  11. Going by this, yes on both counts: http://www.stmirren.info/id345.html If the Slovakian striker signs he won't be the first though as we had Marian Kello (couldn't have told you where he was from before seeing that link).
  12. Woods (English) McGregor (Scottish) Klos (German) Waterreus (Dutch) Charbonnier (French) Dibble (Welsh) Carroll (Northern Irish) Will leave someone else to get the other four! Two of them I saw on Soccerbase when I was trying to check someone's nationality so won't post them as that's cheating. There's also nationality duplicates like Maxwell, Goram etc.
  13. Seem to be a few suggestions Kellerman may go back to Aldershot. Not sure how that works with him having played for us and Fylde - unless there's different rules for England or non-league clubs, or the fact he's going back to a club he's played at before in the last 12 months.
  14. Going to Livingston apparently. Stick on to score against us.
  15. McShane departure confirmed: https://www.stmirren.com/news/club/all-news/2470-ian-mcshane-leaves-to-join-falkirk
  16. A quick look at that site shows there's petitions calling for this at a number of clubs north and south of the border. The text is pretty much identical so I'm guessing it's a concerted effort to get some action. The idea is one worth exploring, however I wonder how many of the clubs have actually been asked directly whether they would consider getting rid of single use plastics? Would have thought that was a far better idea, and far more likely to get some success, than yet another online petition.
  17. Was he not injured early on - or was that after Stubbs left?
  18. Seemingly one of the articles in today's papers about Ross McCormack going back to Motherwell claim Hibs and ourselves are also interested. Would be a fantastic signing but cannot for one moment see him coming here.
  19. Kirkpatrick reminds me of Jon Robertson - came to us with a great reputation from the lower leagues, nominated for his division's player of the year but couldn't do it for us. Looked good against Killie in the cup but so did lots of folk.
  20. Mikey Johnstone seems to be Celtic's preferred option at the moment so Morgan could well be up for grabs. Would reckon other clubs will probably be in for him though - he'll no doubt end up at Sunderland.
  21. Didn't do enough to win but probably didn't deserve to lose. We created very little. Their goalie had sod all to do and we were reluctant to shoot - weird considering our goal last week came from a shot that was parried. Only one team looked like scoring in the last 20 minutes or so and it wasn't us. It also highlights just how weak our options are from the bench.
  22. That was my impression too but there've been a few articles recently saying it's only January. Even his quotes here suggest his contract is up soon. https://www.the-gazette.co.uk/sport/17314572.anton-ferdinand-teddy-sheringham-helped-shape-my-career/
  23. I'm assuming MacPherson has picked up a knock - although rewarding a young player for scoring his first goal by dropping him is the sort of thing our technical director would do...
  24. If Samson was as big a legend as folk say he'd be telling Ross to make a £2million double swoop for Heaton and King.
  25. Since Hammill signed, we have scored nine goals. He has scored four of them and provided assists for two others for Jones and Paul McGinn. Of the other three, he wasn't on the park for one, one was a penalty against Dundee (was it from his pass Jackson got fouled?) and the other was Stephen McGinn against Hamilton, which started off from Hammill's corner. Sure, he may drift in and out of games but if he was producing every week then he'd be nowhere near a club like ours. He's not as good as Morgan was for us last season but he's the nearest thing we have to a match winner and it would be a huge blow if he left in January.
