  1. Clearly Interstadia have absolutely ballsed up massively and could cost the club thousands. General Sale is now live and their are close to 800 season ticket holders seats appeared on the system available to buy. There is simply no way 25% of season ticket holders have suddenly decided that they can't make the playoff game. So many poor buggers must be locked out and have given up or in desperation picked a shit seat elsewhere. At full price that's £18K of tickets currently unsold due to these useless tossers! Got to be binned next season!
  2. Yup as other poster says, spot on ...and it was indeed a free kick from around the penalty spot and not a goal kick which would have rendered all argument irrelevant
  3. How the hell is it not aimed at him? The keeper's free kick is literally in a straight line at him and lands just 5 yards over where his start position is. There's literally no one else in that area he could be targetting. Unless he just overhit his kick by 15 yards and pushed it right when actually aiming for the 2 guys near the ref in the centre then he was exactly the intended receiver but just got the advantage of running on when his team mate moved across. to challenge. It should have been flagged offside.
  4. THIS We seem to be the nicest support in the world "Ach he was probably onside, I know he was 5 yards off but it'll be that phase thing" "Ach Our centre half has been assaulted and potential out concussed but he probably didn't mean it" "Ach he got a wee touch so he probably didn't dive into our box looking for a penalty, yeah he waved his arms at the ref but he was probably just trying to get up" "Yeah he's kicked our player on the ground but he was lying on the ball and McGinn should know better than to talk to the ref" "Ach there's Mullen on the ground, he's probably dived cause he did it once before remember" That striker should be playing no further part at the weekend and yet I heard absolutely bugger all while an incident already seen and yellow carded is put into a hearing to be upgraded to red because just as Tuesday night the referees view was obscured by the back of the player. Different rules for different clubs but we don't half help them out.
  5. Not interested who it came off (and it was indeed MacKenzie) at that point their player was only fractionally off anyway. From the keeper's free kick around the penalty spot Oakley is in an offside position. It's not a goal kick where he wouldn't be offside and he is involved in play as the punt up the field comes right at him landing almost on his starting position.
  6. Cheating little shite! We had Goncalves banned for 2 games for less. ham dive edit.mp4
  7. Players are so quick these days it's so difficult for officials when it's fractions of inches or 5 WHOLE BLOODY YARDS when the player is actually stood in a stripe of grass where the cut direction makes it an actual different colour to one the defenders are standing in and you are literally looking along that line when the keeper kicks the ball upfield towards him. JESUS F'N CHRIST We'd all be the guy at the back of the stand swearing if that had any bearing on the result.
  8. Reading further on yesterday's incidents I'm left with an over-riding feeling that both sets of fans have been cheated. The papers this morning said Morelos was completely unaware of anything hitting him and that set me thinking. Half an hour through his performance Alfredo treated us to a 2 minute cameo where he lay prone on the ground to the point that I was sure the stretcher bearers were readying their kit. As it transpired he had injured a little finger requiring it to be strapped firmly to the adjacent ring finger with medical tape before he could be helped off and return to action from the sideline shortly afterwards. I can't help thinking that had Alfredo noticed the missile from the crowd I feel almost certain that we would have seen a performance incomparable with anything the likes seen since the sad demise of the late Sir John Gieldud. I feel particularly for The Rangers fans as they must feel doubly aggrieved as the resulting Academy Award nomination would have no doubt raised his profile and potential value.
  9. Footage of Cammy Smith's opener and 4 views of Jack Baird's winner
  10. Anyone recall the soundtrack in Chariots of Fire when Harold Abrahams knew on form he should win but was so terrified of what he would do if their was any hitch like he'd experienced before. Keep hearing this music in my head this morning. ...as well as stomach churning like a washing machine ...worked out for him in the film so here's hoping....
  11. I think it would be pretty safe to assume that Lennon's idea of his strongest side would be the one you choose to start a Scottish cup Semi Final and the players with 20-30 starts. I'd be asking questions as a Hibs fan if he didn't. Unless of course you think he's been having a particularly long look at some of these lads over the last 6 months seeing if the were up to the SPL before unleashing his best side against Raith Rovers? Come on you know very well what happened here and since he was keen to "use the squad" needing to "look at some players for next season" and wanting "to give the younger lads an opportunity" surely he'll be wanting to see more of them in the remaining meaningless games rather than judge them on one night against one team?
  12. Raith will win this. Match fit players were always going to come into their own against bit part players with little to no experience of playing more than half an hours football any week.
  13. So after a 34 game slog Saints, Ayr and Dumbarton hopes resting on a team with just the 3 players having started over 10 games this season. Welcome to Scottish football.
  14. What other rules are simply there for guidance and not really rules at all? Not fielding 2 under 21 outfield players in a cup tie perhaps? Heard Chic doing his pathetic oh you know what you have to do at the start of the season..and these boys deserve a night off. You can't predict who will be disinterested at the end of the season and the least you can expect is to compete against the same teams putting out the best team they can in each available game. That's not just fair to all teams involved, it's the rules!
  15. Bollocks or not it's clearly against League rules and any sort of spirit of competition to openly admit you're giving your team the night off when your next 3 games are against the 3 teams most closely involved in a critical relegation fight. League has already influenced the placings allowing Ayr to take beat a Raith side with no goalkeeper and now it seems fine for Hibs to play Raith with next to no first team before presumably bringing them back after their wee rest for a Home finale against St Mirren.
  16. Was it 17 games they'd gone without a win ROLL UP ROLL UP HERE COME THE BIGGEST MUGS IN TOWN!
  17. We never learn. Players out there thinking because Rodgers said the were great they could coast and win this easy but met a team who Hughes will have sent out pumped up playing for their league place and their sheer effort has done us. They showed they were capable but attitude like that will take us down. Absolute Garbage!
  18. They are however absolutely brilliant at cup draws. Notice they've landed a home tie the last 12 times they've been drawn out in cup competition. The chances of that are over 4000-1 40k ticket sales a time. Convenient cash injections Some would be suspicious
  19. BING! Yeah stop pulling rank 'cause I'm better I've been supporting for 5 decades
  20. Depends how you use it. If you coral all the moaning faced I don't want to do anything ever lot into the black area it'd work a treat. Here's our Cup Final opponents showing how to use it. Honest opinion. Many, many of our fans just are never happy with anything but can't think of anything more constructive. We're not alone big clubs have it too. Chelsea are a good example, they can't do a display to save themselves because too many say Ahh faak that mate I aint looking stupid for no one now let me back to shouting abuse at the players for not winning the league yet. The likes of Motherwell can do it because they seem to have enough people with the will....they are the Liverpool, the Aberdeen, those that just want to do a little something special for their team on the kind day we get to enjoy all too seldom. We probably get the team our fans deserve.
  21. Footballers are special cases like city bankers. They can simply turn up and do a shit job but expect bumper wages and bonuses for it without question.
