I agree. Playoff between Lowland champs v Highland champs should be about who automatically replaces East Stirling, not plays off against them.

I used to live in Motherwell a few years ago and worked beside a bluenose who was a Cooper fanatic and had a relative work for the club when Cooper was there. He told me a few 'hilarious' stories about how sectarian and bigoted Cooper was. Giving one specific youngster a really hard time for wearing green and ruining his chances at the club, refusing to talk or shake hands with guys he knew were Catholics, stuff like that.

My brother played with him at the Carolina RailHawk about 3 years ago. Said he always spoke well of Saints and was interested in training and coaching back then. A lot of US clubs really push the coaching side of things early. My brother is only 28 and coaches the girls youth team while still playing for a professional team. Not surprised Russell's gone into coaching already. Better than driving a taxi or working in a pub like most ex-players would do.

I know, but in the confines of this thread why are we including free transfers to English clubs (like Dorman) where the club made no money at all?

If a player is released or his contract runs out and then signs for another club does that count as 'sold' or just 'transfer'?
