Good win considering we didn't play that well. We really miss Gogic's energy in the middle. Hope Joe or Declan are fully fit soon to allow Gogic to move up. Wee bit concerned how light the bench is now. Onwards and upwards.

I feel sorry for Jim - he is a decent manager and more importantly a good guy.
Getting back to Jim's former team - that was a decent performance and a good three points today.
As usual it was a good team performance but I thought Strain, Kiltie, Greive and Main were a cut above the rest.

Feel a bit sorry for Brophy you sit on bench most weeks and especially recently you watch 3 guys in front of you continually not scoring and yet manager doesn't give you a start.

It's quite the take to label 1200 of your fellow fans as a "bunch of clowns"
The same "bunch of clowns" who own the majority shareholding of the club, bought and paid for with their own hard earned.

Exciting midfielder Kiwanuka will be placed at St Mirren Football Club, an entity based in Paisley, Renfrewshire.
“I have been working hard and I pray I make It. I want to continue working hard to make my dream of playing professional football become a reality” Kiwanuka who is attached at Proline Football Club stated.

Brophy scored 7 League goals last season and was top scorer. He hasn't started a League game this season (Killie doesn't count) but is proven to be a better striker than Main or Ayunga. If we are paying him we should give him some gametime as he cannot be worse than Main (3 goals from 19 League games) or Ayunga (3 goals from 16 League games). And Greive has scored 3 from only starting 5 League games this season. The problem is Main/Ayunga partnership.

Poorest home display of the season by far. I wish Robinson would realise Main and Ayunga will never score enough goals. Ayunga was totally honking today just like he was on Wednesday. Give Greive/Brophy a decent run with Main. Several others were poor as well but at least we can score penalties and Carson can save them. Playing shite and winning is a good habit to have.

I watched Dundee v Raith R and in the first half Dundee were garbage and could easily be a few goals down. They improved in the second half and managed to get a draw from being 1 down.
They are still relying on McMullan which is a  sad indictment of where they are. It is a cup game and anything can happen of course but I full expect us to blow them away 2-0. Hopefully we start with Main and Greive/Brophy and maybe get another couple of goals. Main and Ayunga doesn't work.

Ayunga has started 15 League games and scored 3 goals. Main has started 18 League games and scored 3 League goals. Greive has started 5 League games and scored 3 goals. Don't think it's Greive we should be getting rid of.

Erhahon looks like a traffic warden - points to all the players running past him as if he had no responsibility to do anything about it. Dunne been poor and pity Ayunga cannot control a ball. However we have had chances - just don't see us taking any.

Not too bothered about tonight. Old firm away is a free hit as far as I am concerned. This period of 4 games of which 3 of them are away to Hearts, Celtic & Aberdeen was always going to be tough. However, we have an easier set of fixtures coming up, which should yield some points.
I still feel that we are capable of finishing in a European spot, but we have to be careful. We are only 7pts above the play-off spot and could easily be looking over our shoulder should we blow it over the next few games.
Regarding the current squad and potential movement in January. I really hope we keep hold of the majority. Of the players rumoured to be moving on, I would like Baccus, Brophy and big Joe to stay. If Ethan goes, I won't miss him. I personally have never been impressed.
Here's hoping for a result at Pittodrie and at home to Well. The boy and I will eventually get to use our season tickets for the 1st time this season at the Hibs game on the 4th Feb. Hopefully go into it on a wee bit of a run.  Looking forward to coming home.

No idea what the accounts show  however Covid testing was on a daily basis  https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59683384
before moving on to a twice a week basis due to cost. Everyone had to be tested ie players, coaches, medical staff and anyone in contact with team members. Cost per test seemed to vary between £50 and £100. St Mirren probably had at 30 least staff being tested ie between £1500 and £3,000 per day.
Hamilton Accies spent nearly quarter of a million on Covid testing alone https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/hamilton-accies-reveal-staggering-covid-23734071
Alloa were complaining they were spending between £3,000 and £6,000 per week for a part-time Club.
Overall cost to Scottish football was around £70M https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55030350
SMFC like other Clubs took advantage of a £1.6M loan from the Scottish Government to help with the substantial Covid costs.

Buddies can watch the game via Celtic's PPV platform for £13 which is a fair bit better than the eye watering £32 they are charging to attend the game.

Covid testing was costing the Club nearly £2k per day. Hopefully that is a cost not to be repeated.
