Wilbur got a reaction from stripey in Goodwin
Our new manager deserves to be given some time to develop his squad, his style of play, etc. The fans shouting "bring back Danny" in section W2 today were (I hope) joking. Or fannies.
But I agree with previous posters that too many of our young hopefuls are too easily brushed aside by experienced, physically stronger opponents. IMO Goodwin should have started for us today. When Naismith had to go off Goodwin was the obvious substitute to steady the defence. The fact that Ian Murray chose to replace the injured Naismith with another young defender lacking in top-team experience instead of Jim Goodwin smacks of a personal agenda against our former captain. At best tactically naive IMO, undoubtedly a poor decision for the balance of the team, and a worrying sign regarding Murray's priorities.
As I said, Murray deserves his chance to settle into his new job and he can do without plonkers in the crowd yelling insults, but maybe he needs to be more mature and avoid creating vendettas for the overall benefit of our team performances.

Jings, that is seriously fat. A short arse and a lard arse, not promising.

Sacked for not making the play-offs? I think IM needs more than one season to not only get us promoted but to have a suitable side to stay up. We are away off having that strength but this season will be make or break for certain players plus giving others more experience. This is the toughest league to get out of with Rangers, Hibs and a few other good sides. The club needs stability after a bad season. Let's wait and see how we perform with the additional players that Ian wants to bring in (and gets them).

Wilbur got a reaction from TsuMirren in St Mirren V Berwick Rangers 25/7/15
Agnew was the clear MOM for us today, and also Baird looked very solid. The result represents a decent start to Murray's time in charge but I won't get overexcited about our overall team performance bearing in mind the standard of the opposition. Also he seems to be building a squad of lightweights and short arses that could be ill-equipped for the physicality of the Championship.
Sadly Thompson looked even slower and less alert than before, a spent force I fear.

This is surely nothing more than a straightforward commercial arrangement. As far as I am concerned, if the price is right, we should fill our boots. As has been posted a few times already, this signage is a blight on our stadium for a couple of weeks only, after which it will be removed and the final outcome will be that St Mirren will have gained financially.

Pink pants that shit out of many tackles last season. Could score the odd good goal but thankfully Plymouth is as far away from Paisley as we can hope for.

Wilbur got a reaction from cambiebud in Jonathan Pearce
I wonder if any of you witnessed this belter. Poor old Pearce suffered a collossal "foot in mouth" moment last night commenting on the England v Norway women's world cup match live on BBC3 tv.
With about an hour played, England had just gone 0-1 down and the Norwegians were piling on the pressure trying to kill the game.
Pearce was critical of England's defending. "The cracks are beginning to show". I had a close look but I couldn't spot any.
England eventually won 2-1.
