As I've been saying all along - the EU parliament is not anti democratic, but the SNP and Holyrood most definitely is.

My only problem with this thread - as stated before - is why single out Christians? Is that the only religion with followers that appear to act in an "ungodly" manner? Or are we just so desperate not to be tagged "racists" that we refuse to have a go at any of the other faiths? Why do you put a higher expectation or a higher level of judgement on a Christian than you do on an atheist, or for that matter on yourself?
I agree with the general consensus of what's being said on here in so far as I was brought up in a religious family and I turned my back on it at an early age because of the hypocrisy that I saw amongst many church goers but to tar every Christian the same seems.....well almost sectarian. They clearly are not all the same, they don't deserve to be tarred as such, and indeed many of the people I know who do have "faith" do so because it comforts them in some way and so long as it's not harming me or my kids I've got no problem in that at all. What's wrong with a widow believing that at some point in the afterlife she'll be reunited with her loved one? What's wrong with a parent who has lost a child believing that the child is being cared for by other fondly remembered relatives in some cloudy afterlife? If that's what allows them some comfort, some sense of having something to live for and to look forward to then whats the problem?
I've got a cousin who is a Church of Scotland minister, my old next door neighbour is a retired Pastor. When I was growing up a close friend of my family was the Rev Stuart Lochrie - look him up - who was an incredible man. All three have been an enormously positive influence on the lives of thousands of people. I don't need to believe in a heaven, hell, a god or the devil to be able to acknowledge that and to be tolerant of their beliefs.

Agreed. He's not got the ability to save St Mirren, and I doubt he's got the ability to build a team that will get the club promoted again. Another woeful managerial appointment.

Surely this is the kind of information the club really should have to hand since it's incredibly important for marketing. There was a great news article last week about Stoke City. They had realised their core support was ageing and that they weren't attracting nearly enough kids into the ground so they put in place cheaper pricing, arranged more community events, sent players into schools, gave out free tickets, and put on extra entertainment for families and they were reporting that just under 50% of their support now are under the age of 20. They did acknowledge that much of this was also down to their Premiership status.

East Fife should be a win, maybe not a stroll but a win nonetheless.
TNS is difficult to predict as they are more of an unknown quantity, winning lots of games but no idea what the standard is like.
One thing at a time, East Fife victory and move on.

Nothing is impossible but there is little to suggest we can put together the sort of form we need as Ayr are not lying down to anyone.
    Time will tell.

I agree with you . We can still finish above Ayr Utd and win the play off . The sacking of Alex RAE should have been done after the last game of last season . When we started this season with him then to sack him after 6 games was complete incompetence and lack of knowledge how it works . If RAE had still been in charge we would have been 7 or 8 th place no way he'd have got us promoted but no way he'd have got us relegated .
Gordon Scott must shoulder the blame for this decision . There are far too many errors being made in running The Club . This is no fault of The Manager .

It's bizarre to point the finger at McGinn as it was to hail him, after 20 minutes, as our saviour. Extremes all over this thread as usual.

Needing to score 3 goals to win every week means we are only going in 1 direction.

One of the first things any new manager in a relegation battle does is tighten the defence up, we are still gifting teams goals.

The reality is Ross wasnt up to managing yet at this level, and two clubs are looking like paying the price for his learning curve.
