How about a wee chant for the Dome.
When it wis up it wis up
and when it was doon it wis doon
but most of the time it's only hafway up and it's neither up nor doon.
That should confuse the away fans singing about us going doon.

Well 10 players in the window. Great work. Which one is SMISA paying for or can we claim all 10. Do SMISA now have their own player so we can get his name on our shirts and his squad number tattoo'd on our @@@@@
    Just wondered.

Think there's a clear cut off point (Loy aside) between signings before and after selling McAllister.
A lot of unknown quantities in there who may or may not work out and the obvious difference maker in the form of Rory Loy. Since Kyle went though, McGinn, Smith, Eckersley and Davis are all potential game changers for us for one reason or another.
We now have the spine of what looks like a very solid team. They must hit the ground running now.

The campaign against Trump was there, as you know , even before he got the presidency gig. I don't see what the protests in this country hope to achieve. .
There were major protests in this country when Tony said he was going to war but they never made a blind hit of difference. .

Lennon made major changes to formation & tactics twice during his tenure - first like you said when things were going badly in his first season at the end of September he pretty much switched to the "shitfest" tactics of his predecessor for the remainder of that season and again in his final season when he dumped summer signings Grainger & Harkins and replaced them with younger players like Kelly & Naismith.
You can't say the same about Ross after seeming to apportion blame for the 3-1 Morton defeat on the two Rangers loanees results continued to be in the main bad for the rest of the calendar year. We were still within touching distance of four clubs at the start of the window - since then we've seen QotS (whose signings gelled quickly enough ) and Dunfermline move out of our reach. We're possibly still within touching distance of the two p/t teams and maybe even Raith now but they all have H2H games with each other and you have to assume that only one of those three teams is realistically catchable - most likely Ayr. It's not all Jack Ross's fault but he hasn't been able to significantly improve on the form we showed under Rae yet and despite talking a good game at the AGM we still fielded the same LB and a different permutation of CH's that we did against Ayr Utd. prior to that meeting while the gap to safety has increased.
The turnover of players at diddy clubs like our is pretty steep these days - even back in the 90's journeymen pros like Steve Watson and Jim Dick used to stay 3/4 seasons but contracts are shorter now and most teams seem to turnaround their playing staff much quicker these days. If JR can't make 9th place and factoring in the news that McGinn, at least, has a relegation clause in his contract I wouldn't have much confidence in him putting together a side to win the First Division next season.

It certainly does, add to that consistency and sticking to your word.
we were told the sacking has to stop, only to see the sacking continue within weeks....
we were told by the new manager he saw the quality to get us up the league in the dressing room when he joined, only for him to continually criticise drop, sell and off load those same players.
we were told that 'youth' was the answer and where the club would major, only for products of our academy to be let go....
common sense does as you suggest seem to allude some people.
now it seems our sucess lies on the back of almost a whole new team, who may well all be elsewhere in 14 weeks?
Edit; welcome to the 'Lee Clark' school of (throw as many different players as you can at the problem) how to manage a professional football club.
sign up for the 'Ross Revolution'

so basically all the recent signings could be gone come May! Is this going to look like one colossal waste of monety should we succumb to our current predicament? No business plans like this its fecking bonkers!

Agree with some of your observations, but Ross has tried every youth player feasible, as well as Hutton, persisted with Hardie and Shankland, gave Walsh his chances, swapped the keeper back and forth,  now on our third, first choice keeper, dropped and brought back, Baird, Webster and Clarkson, and has now moved on Naismith and McCallister who were both regulars.
if, as posters here say we need consitency in management, surely we need it on the pitch too in selection and formation?
as you rightly say that fud PH actually has a system, maybe two? And he picks, and sticks with the players he can make work in it. We are all over the feckin place in selection and formation, with it very difficult other than a lob to Sutton being able to see what system Ross is trying to play.
for me on saturday having gone with the wide men Morgan & Smith i cant for the life of me work out why they werent being made to hit the byeline at every attempt to cross to Sutton whose strengths are outmuscling and outthinking defences. Chipping it on from outside the box for him to chase is a waste. He cant run for a bus now.
will he change again, drop Sutton and play Smith off Loy? He couldnt make it work when he tried to do that with Shankland, Hardie or Clarkson.

Surprised it's taken this long for some of our fans to realise Mallan isn't very good, ball control and short range passing is absolutely terrible, will be lucky to get a game now that Cammy Smith and Steven McGinn are here.
Phone Barnsley and see if that offer is still on the table, sell sell sell.

Mallan for Barnsley. McGinn released by Wycome. You couldn't make it up. Been watching Mallan for a long time and today hopefully proved to many how far off the mark Mallan is. Might answer a few questions about why we are sitting bottom of the Championship in Scotland.
What McGinn did today is what Mallan has failed to do consistently. He dominated a midfield in the Championship from start to finish. This is exactly the type of player we have needed in the midfield for a long time. Fit, box to box and good distribution. Not showboating junk.

Well done Alan, well done indeed.

I do hope the powers that be at our club learn from the miserable failure of the original staff member who let our club and so very nearly let this young lad down.  This is unacceptable, especially after all the hard work that the fans council have done in promoting our club as a "community club".  How hard would it be for a staff member to say "I cant help you right now Sir but leave me your contact details and I will get the right person to call you back".  If the staff cannot buy into the concept of a "community club" then perhaps employment should be sought elsewhere

Anyway well done, hope the wee fellah has a ball (and we win).

Last January my Cousin came over from NZ for the first time.
His Dad, my Uncle Tom had been a Saints fan and was at tge 59 cup final.
I emailed Brian Caldwell several days before the match and he pulled out all the stops... Full tour... Dressing room... Intro to manager and players... and a subsequent invitation to Shrewsbury where our Aunt lived for most of her life!
Brian Caldwell was an absolute legend and did all this after shovelling snow from the pitch!

We won't get anywhere near that.
i spoke to a scout last year about Scottish players. He said that English clubs pay more for Scottish players that haven't played a top level game, or limited games, as they haven't developed the 'Scottish style'.
Thats why we will get treble the money for Kyle than Stevie.

I've spent two nights of my life living in Paisley. The day I was born, and the night I was married. Fortunately I can't remember much about either occasion.
I spent my early years living in Battlefield and my Grandfather would take me to watch Queens Park when they were at home, and when they weren't my Dad would take me to watch his team - Clyde - they seemed to play at home on alternate weeks.  After we moved to Hillington my Grandfather was doing this quiz thing with me. "Where do Aberdeen come from " - "Aberdeen". Where do Clyde come from" - "The River Clyde". "Where do St Mirren come from?" - "Mirren?" - "Nah Paisley". "Really I was born in Paisley can we go watch them this week".....and the rest is history.
Living in Hillington, Rangers were actually my local team by around 0.1 miles.
Moved to Law Village in Lanarkshire in 1990 and fell out with the St Mirren board in 2002.
